Are we now exclusively recruiting two first name players? Worked out pretty well on the Justin Thomas to Brad Stewart play. Matthew Jordan was pretty excited on the sidelines.

Welcome to the Flats, Mr Oliver!

NWR lost to Tucker tonight but Oliver had a nice 50 yard run on the first drive and then scored two plays later for their only score.

I have always thought everybody being a various number of all A's is silly. Arkansas is like that, has up to 7 A's to and not even 3 million people

Well it could be that the model doesn't make sense in Arkansas. But I assure you in Georgia it's needed.

While there are 26 letters in the alphabet, I have a hard time believing the model is needed in any system that has less than 1/2 billion players.

I never really thought about it, but I suspect the system of "A"s for high school sports is designed to avoid having the kids feel bad about being in an inferior level. No school would want to be level F or 6th out of 6. Nobody can complain about straight "A"s.

More than likely it's like the college bowl system, everybody gets into the playoffs. It has totally ruined local rivalries here in Hall County and I suspect that is true in a lot of places across the state.

He could end up in several positions. The high school qb I played with ended up as a wr at UGAG.

More proof you're a ööööty fan
I played against him. More proof that you are a ööööty fan. Funniest part is that he had to cheat off me when I was in tenth grade and he was a senior. I ended up in his crap car years later with my girlfriend at the time.

It is. In Carroll County you have Carrollton High which is the city school and within walking distance is Central Carroll which is a county school. CHS is 5A and Central is 2A and they don't play each other. Then in the surrounding area you have Bowdon (15 minutes away - 2A), Mt. Zion (15 minutes away 2A), Villa Rica (20 minutes away - 5A), and Temple (20 minutes away - 2A) and these team rarely play each other. Carroll County has a population of 114K and about half of that live in Carrollton and Villa Rica.

In the olden days the classes were A, B, and C in Georgia. By the time I graduated they were AAA, AA, A, B, and C. I guess some of the smaller schools whined about the convention so they stared stringing the A's together. Now most papers have just started referring to AAAAAAA as 7A. I wonder if we could get them to adopt A^7, A^6 etc.

Arm does look suspect in junior film. But I wouldn't have guessed he was that big from the way he moves either. Great agility/burst for that size. Gotta be careful not to compare these guys to JT5 too soon though, he is a rare mix of running/passing. I think we may end up looking back on his arm with longing nostalgia before too long.

Also, a 3-year starter at a program with a great reputation. With something like a 80% winning pct. And I think they run the TO, so he's got experience in the offense already.
