in the beginning there were about 6 people that went down to the Edge Center to see the names go up on a board as the faxes came in. at the end, Coach came out and talked for a few minutes about the class. a few questions were asked. the administrative assistance had hurriedly found us some coffee
in the ensuing years, things got better prepared and more publicized. the crowd got bigger, more coaches talked, they provided food like danishes etc.. .
year after year, the event got bigger and more publicized.
last time i went there were more people than could fit in the room, and a rather large spread of bagels, danishes, etc (maybe even ChikFilA bfast sandwiches) across two tables was ready to be decimated by the crowd
now, the event - i think - gets streamed across the interwebs and you dont have to drive through traffic, park far away and walk, scrunch into a smallish room with too many dudes who all think they know a lot about football and recruiting in order to mostly sit around
they have a bigger event that you pay money to go to and its a dinner and they do the same presentation in a better atmosphere if you want to go see that. the morning session is a way to do that for free, but going down there seems like a waste now that they stream it online.. the food aint worth it
