Was listening to Chuck and Chernoff on the way home from work for about 5 minutes before I had to get on the phone.
Chernoff brought up an interesting point that Chuck, in usual fashion, couldn't comprehend and made ritard replies to.
Chernoff suggested 2 things:
1) There should be way more talk about GT football than UGA football based on recent performance, but knows that that will never happen in Atlanta because of UGA's much larger fan base. Knows that his station is guilty of it, but appeasing UGA fans pay the bills, losing GT fans won't affect them. Chuck was a tard and kept saying "performance on the field will make the media talk about you" Matt asked him why he won't talk about GT more than UGA then, Chuck eventually admitted that, "UGA fans pay the bills"
2) Matt said he wishes GT basketball would be a much bigger story, but because of #1, no one cares. Said he could spend an hour talking about how excited he is about GT hoops and its direction but knows that most listeners would change stations.

Anyways, kind of refreshing to hear, and I agree 100%. Doesn't bother me that UGA gets the majority of air time. I turn on my music when they do. Also solidifies my view that Chuck is a total tard.
 
It is refreshing, but it is more of a disclaimer that lets them check off the box and get back to fellating the dwag masses.

That show is the absolute worst of any on the air to take cheap shots at Tech in order to endear themselves to the dwag audience that they feel best pays the bills.

I don't mind them. I think Buck and Kincade's show is the absolute worst thing on radio, TV and everything in between. How Buck Belue has a job on the radio is baffling, he is a total buffoon. Kincade just sucks--he is the classic radio shock jock with extreme stances and opinions and most frequently ends up being wrong.
 
They are Dawg homers because they want to be. Over in Birmingham a certain host has made a fortune antagonizing the over zealous Alabama and Auburn fans who pay the bills. Atlanta has enough Auburn and Bama, UT, Clemson, Florida and FSU fans as well as decent numbers from all over, especially schools like Michigan and Ohio State in the Big 10. Radio hosts could get good ratings by being really knowledgeable and discussing a number pf programs, or they can be lazy and just bark.

Buck and Kincade is, and always has been, absolutely awful. How that show has remained on the air is beyond me. I tuned out of the rest of Atlanta sports radio because their schtick got old and the points mentioned in the OP mean there isn't much for me to hear anyway, but Buck and Kincade is just a truly terrible show and I don't really understand how or why people put themselves through it.
 
There are a lot of good things I miss about not living in ATL anymore.

Good sports talk radio is not one of them. DC has excellent sports talk radio but college is rarely on the menu. So many college programs in the vicinity but its all Skins, Wizards, Nats and Caps. Maybe that's why its good - no conflicts trying to appease or alienate any of the college fan bases. I dropped Sirius/XM a while back but thought the college station (84?) had excellent college talk radio with Mark Packer and a few other really good hosts who have a sincere love of the college game (whatever the sport).
 
The irony is it's so obvious they are so ugag biased that only a retarded ugag fan wouldn't realize it
 
ATL sports radio is god awful. It's the same has-beens recycled over and over. Steak, buck, kincade, dimino, chernoff, chuck, mike bell, are all awful. But I think it's a newcomer that takes the cake, Hugh Douglas. He knows nothing about nothing. Even his nfl insight is worthless.

Couldn't agree more about Hugh Douglas total damn idiot. The only reason I can even see he has a job in radio is because he played in the NFL.

Well, when you sell with Rhonda, you do your own open house stuff. So his wife was our open house hostess. But you have to put your offer in through her main office with a bunch of minions running around doing stuff I guess.

The dude had removed the vent from above the stove in a renovation because he doesn't cook. It was a 60s brick ranch. Pretty neat setup, and he had a lot of stuff in it he undoubtedly got from his radio advertising shill deals. Really cool stone patio and firepit in the backyard, which was pretty big and backed up to Heritage Golf Club. On the good side.
