Interesting 680 Talk

Thank God someone else shares my opinion about Hugh. And it sucks that they match him up with one of the best at what he does, John Frickey. It seems to me that Hugh NEVER understands what Frickey is trying to say and always goes on these long off-topic rants. 92.9 is a pretty solid station other than Hugh Douglas. I enjoy Mark Zinno at nights too.

probably not, we've had a great and a really good season in 2014 and 2016 and i doubt we've picked up any fans that are unrelated to GT because of it. granted, 2015 totally took a dump on 2014 and ruined the momentum but still. it's just what it is and i think a lot of the sandy V's on our message boards are from people who can't accept that. i personally don't care what chuck or chernoff think about the state of GT football. that crayon looking Chuck is going to leave the segment with a smear on GT regardless, so it doesn't matter.

Gotta build more than a one off. Following up a 10 win season with a 10 win season builds more fans than a 10 win season followed by a 6 win season.

I don't know man

Kincade is dismissive but Belue is incredible in my opinion. He's the only guy in ATL sports radio that knows anything about the ACC or outside the SEC in general.

Belue knows football & calls it like it is.

He's a homer but he played there - I respect that. When we're good he'll say it. He's not rude or dismissive - just biased. All football people should be.

Pollack? Really Awful

Belue? Hell of a guy. He's one of the good guys in sports broadcasting. I'm surprised he hasn't been picked up as a national name honestly. Maybe he missed his chance long ago or maybe he has had the chance and decided to stay close to home.

I'm a fan.

You are gonna catch hell for this post, but for the most part you are right.

Buck tries to play fair when discussing teams, and always tries to say positive things rather than negative. But other than that, he's a Dwag, and a Hershel coat-tail riding Dwag at that. He would be an unknown today if not for Hershel.

Buck's replacement won an SEC championship in his first season. Can you name him?

Yeah, I believe that was it.

The fact is, the SEC in the 80s was not all that hot. After Herschel, I mean UGA, won the natty in 1980, an SEC team didn't win again until 12 years later.

Agreed, it's laughable to hear him attempt to talk about anything other than football and he never seems to actually understand what he's being asked. Zinno's my favorite.

The dude had removed the vent from above the stove in a renovation because he doesn't cook. It was a 60s brick ranch. Pretty neat setup, and he had a lot of stuff in it he undoubtedly got from his radio advertising shill deals. Really cool stone patio and firepit in the backyard, which was pretty big and backed up to Heritage Golf Club. On the good side.

I don't mind Bell. Met him once or twice, nice guy. I am not a Dimino fan but I will give him credit for actually working and doing his own homework.
If you ever had to suffer through a Buck Belue sportscast on TV, you'd think waterboarding would be a better option. He did TV sports in Savannah for a while and if you think he is bad on the radio ....

I cannot believe UGA decided to go with Eric Zeyer/Zeier/Ziiiier instead of Belue. EZ is complete and total garbage...but he mirrors their fan base extremely well so maybe that's why they keep him around.
