Roddy Jones to ESPN

Given that Brooks will be doing analysis for some Longhorn Network, I suspect it will be Brooks in the booth with Shroff, and Roddy on the sidelines.
Of course, who can get forget Roddy's best call in the booth, his WOO HOO HOO after Gaudin's IT'S INTERCEPTED!

Other ESPN-ACC media related tidbit - I think Matt Fortuna may have been one of the casualties in the ESPN layoffs a couple of months ago. Seems he's latched on to some website called The Athletic and won't be covering the ACC for espn.com.

Yall talkin about this guy?

Can he replace Pollack?
Not completely, but the two 'tards are finally gone from Thursday nights:

  • Thursday Night Twist: New this year, ESPN will rotate analysts to be paired in the booth with play-by-play voice Dave Flemming. Flemming, who returns to the Thursday night telecast with a new contract this season, will be paired with a variety of personalities. Laura Rutledge will be the sideline reporter each week in addition to her new gig hosting SEC Nation each Saturday.

EDIT: And Roddy's the sideline reporter for this crew:

ESPN or ABC Saturday Anish Shroff, Ahmad Brooks, Roddy Jones

I love watching that run. The tackle attempt by Mutt #9 has to be one of the lamest ever.

Never noticed that mutt #9 is "R. Jones" as well. I guess our R. Jones beats their R. Jones.

yea and iirc reshad Jones was a really good player for them, possibly in the NFL

yep, he's been in the nfl for 7 years now. wouldn't be able to tell from that half-ass arm push he attempted on the real r. jones.
