. . . displayed by our young QB, post game. Humble yet determined. Ready to go forward and put this one behind him and the team. Got to get better and eliminate the mistakes. Very well spoken and appears to be a natural born leader.

I also noticed him pumping up the defense on several occasions in the second half.

If this kid can stay healthy he may be a superstar.

Go Jackets!

Didn't get to see the postgame stuff, but agreed on the rest, 100%. Glad you mentioned him trying to motivate the defense, absolutely loved seeing that. Got a long season left to play, but Marshall could be special.

Like you say, I hope he stays healthy. Playing like he did last night (# of carries) will take a toll on his body, and increase the chance of injuries.

None of the backups bring what he does to this team (yet).

We really need to start Jordan for Jax State. Marshall needs the rest and this will give Jordan some time to get some work in. It sucks he audibled into that pass last night when were killing them on the ground but I understand. If he thought it was there, it was a risk to take. Actually, I think we might see a good mix of him and Johnson this coming Saturday to flesh out the backup role.

Jerry ,
Sorry I missed you last night .. Did you go with Side kick 22 ?
Better Days ahead ...

We need for Marshall to have a series or two at BDS. I'm certain he will be fine.

I expect all 4 QB'S to play

I hope we get to the point where all four can. Jax State's D isn't bad but we ought to come out full of piss and vinegar after losing.

I wonder how much hitting PJ will have them do in practice this week. Normally, Tuesday and Wednesday are heavy on contact and Thursday is light or no contact. After last night, there may not be much contact in practice. D might need to get some in.

You would think.

But I hesitate to put up a reminder...
MTSU

UCF is our possible 2012 MTSU if we don't fix the D and kicker situation. Jax State shouldn't be that bad even if we're a little ragged from yesterday.

The gaudy stats are nice but TQ just tried to do too much. That last play was the perfect example where he should have pitched it. There is no way he's going to last the season at that rate.

I see your point, but in 2012 we played MTSU after losing to Miami in OT. The CW before the game was that MTSU would suffer for us getting screwed out of the win over Miami.

To those that disliked my post...I don't like it, either.

We start Jordan against Jax State we might be 0-2. They're not a cupcake, we're gonna be playing against Alabama rejects.

I know he held the ball a lot, but I noticed he was quick to step out of bounds and avoid contact when he knew he had the first. JT always put his head down and laid a lick on defenders at the end of those plays. I liked that intensity from JT, but it seems to me that Marshall is making conscious decisions to reduce the wear on his body in those instances.

Agree Jerry. Love his rapport with his team mates. He's special and for the most part threw the ball well. Did miss the 1 wide open receiver but was under duress. One of the best

I'm pretty sure that no player will last a season with 40+ carries per game.

Paul said that TM (or any QB) is certainly not likely to carry the ball that many times in a normal game. But Tennessee was putting the Mike 7 yards deep and flowing him to the pitch, which is going to give the QB a lot of carries, by nature.
