SEC is a shell of its former self...

That doesnt "shake out". We kicked your ass. But flukes happen, and teams who get their ass kicked all day sometimes fluke out. We would be favored against everyone but UGA in the SEC east. You and Florida sucking really has turned that division into a joke. Yall need to fix that öööö.

But it doesnt "shake out". Can you please not embarrass my sister's alma mater posting such drivel?

Our O beat their ass. Unfortunately, our D took a pounding of thier own.

And our special teams öööö the bed of elephantine proportions.

Ok you guys kicked our ass rushing the football, you also made several huge mistakes, which is part of the game.

I don't know how you can be in the Coastal and be too critical of another division. You're not really a bunch of world beaters, just like the SEC East.
That's not the point. We hear SEC East is the greatest 13 months out of the year.

In many respects you're right. The history of the coastal for the last 5 years or so has not been particularly strong save 2014 when we could have beat any team in the east... or last year when we beat 3 teams.....ya know forget what I said.

Who the hell says that recently? We've beaten you guys and blew out VPI. UGA beat UNC and lost to you guys. You guys got worked by UNC. UK beat Louisville, but lost to you guys. You beat Vandy, nobody gives a öööö outside of Nashville or Atlanta. South Carolina has consistently beaten everyone they've played from the ACC, (other than Clemson) although it is Carolina and State. VPI beat Arkansas on a fluke. There isn't much, if any difference in the Coastal and the SEC East. That's me not defending, but begrudgingly admitting that we are mediocre, and have been for sometime now.

I think that's kinda the whole point of this thread. We can argue all day about which is slightly better, but the fact remains that the mighty SEC is a mess outside of Bama and the SEC East is a below average Power 5 division. I never thought I'd see the day that ESPN actually acknowledged that reality.

Just beat Umass by 4. Practically National Champs.

Convenient that you left out that Vandy beat UT and UGA.

Not from Georgia I see.

I'm from Georgia and I haven't heard anybody talk about the SEC East since Fulmer/Spurrier showdowns. EVERYBODY agrees the SECE has been weak for a long time. As for the "Bama and everybody else" line, that's an oversimplification, too. It's "Bama and usually somebody else," with Auburn winning a NC and losing another on the final play; LSU has won a couple; Bama and LSU were the two finalists one year. UGA finished #2 in '07 and was a play away from the championship game in '12. Not that close counts, but it's not as if everyone in the SEC other than Bama just sux all the time. I've talked a lot on here about the decline of the SEC and the improvement in the ACC, but a little perspective is a good idea.

Change around the coattail riders and it still applies.
