Funny hearing the discussions about the ineptitude of Paul Johnson/coaching staff etc...

Seems like most of us forget we kicked off the best player on the entire team about 9 days before game 1.

That's a program issue not coaching.

We lost 3 extremely close games this year. Wonder if we could've used that guy? Hmmmmmm.....

Dedrick's replacement has played great. He played well today and has played well all year. If we'd kicked Harrison Butker off the team, you might have a point.

Mills is injured and wasn't even playing last I saw at the CC he landed at.

Mills never even got in trouble with the law and we gave him the boot.

If anyone with half a brain watched the Spring Game it was painfully obvious he was our best player.

When Benson missed the second half of the Miami game, I'm pretty sure having to play Weimerskirch instead of Dedrick Mills didn't hurt us at all.

ONE RB, who has been capably replaced, is the reason for all this?

If 1/2 of 1% of that is true, we have MUCH bigger problems.

So, that is the only way to get kicked off the team in your book is to break the law? He obviously couldn't figure out how team rules work.

Would you be ok with a player who was just all around insubordinate and would back-talk the coach every opportunity? It certainly isn't against the law, but it is pretty bad. I'm not saying that is what Mills did, but whatever it was, it was bad enough to get kicked off the team and he had been warned before.

We also had a great back transfer. If we had any doubts about Mills we should have done all we could to keep Marshall in the program.

Persistent offensive line incompetence and insistence on having a running back run QB have hurt us more than missing Mills. Having Mills would help, but we'd still be 4-4 staring at 5-7 (maybe 4-7).
