Despite a beatdown for the ages, UGA is still practically only two wins away from the playoffs. So if we blow it and they somehow pull an upset on the SEC West Champ, like Miss State almost did, they're in. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Even if an undefeated Miami plays Clemson, it's hard to see how an SEC Champion one-loss UGA wouldn't get in over the loser of the ACCCG, given the subjective nature of the Committee.

The flip side is we have a golden opportunity to make their season just another failure.

Holy crap bro. You’ve been at this öööö all day. Go to bed.

Nick Saban is undefeated against his former coordinators. I do not expect that to change, the fact that Alabama is in a "reloading" year notwithstanding.

It might actually be good that Alabama won, because it means UGA would have to beat either
(a) Alabama & Auburn
(b) Alabama twice
to win a national championship. Seems extremely unlikely given what we saw yesterday.

(a) would happen if Auburn beats Alabama. UGA vs. Auburn in the SECCG, and Alabama would likely make the playoffs with just one loss.
(b) would happen if Alabama beats Auburn. Alabama in the SECCG and Alabama most likely in the playoffs even with a loss there.

My dream scenario is still that Richt plays the dwags in the post season one year and gets his sweet revenge. In order for that to happen this year Miami would either have to collapse and lose 2 games and play Georgie in a non playoff bowl, or both UGA and Miami win out and see each other in the playoffs. For the latter to happen UGA would beat us in that scenario.

But one day...

Uhm no scenario that has uga in the playoffs is a dream scenario. Screw uga and screw Miami. I hope they fail year after year. Richt can get his revenge in his own time.

If your dream scenario is both U[sic]GA and Miami making the playoffs...well, that's a weird dream scenario for a Tech fan.

In the past, one-loss teams in the CFP have not had blowout losses on their resume. That said, yes, a one-loss SEC champion would get in. So Georgia is 3 wins away (not sure where you got two. Don't sleep on Kentucky). Nothing we saw from them indicates they are capable.

Their signature win took a huge hit, and the worsening dumpster fires at UT and UF further exposes ugags record.

I just don't see UGA beating Alabama. They just had a early-late season blowout loss after the media has been almost literally blowing their defense, TB's and untested QB for a month. That should have some psychological consequences. Maybe it's hate tendencies but I can't stand some little öööö walking into some dream scenario and thinking he is some football god because his team has been lucky with some pussy-assed schedule.

A re-match with Auburn is more interesting since they know how to dominate UGA's lines and that game really wouldn't be that far off.

Anyhow, none of this crap is going to matter as far as playoffs are concerned if we take care of business.

It's a great morning.

i'm more confident with saban's ability use a loss to motivate his team than shart

Smart will dry heave a few times Monday, sweat profusely, and recite unintelligible jibberish, all while his players glance around the room uncomfortable and bewildered

Dream is year after year of winless UGAg teams until they start covering the upper decks with decorative tarps because the stands are empty.
Oooh that feels good... whisper it again, softly....
