At least we aren't Tennessee

So there’s what 10 coaches that turned down huge raises to take less money at another school (or stay)?

Tennessee will forever be the industry standard for failed coaching searches. That’s what they’ve contributed to college football. The Fulmer Cup and “volling” a coaching hire.

What exactly has GT "contributed" to college football if you don't think Tennessee has not contributed to the sport? Don't even say Heisman.

CPJ to interview with SMU Saturday in Nola.

And just how did he manage to lose to ut this year, and get blown out by puke?

Your edit history on this post not withstanding (lol). The coach of the year award. The player of the year award. The most lopsided win of all time. The longest standing stadium. 4 titles.

And most importantly. Not the most embarrassing postseason of all time :lol2:.

Wut?
When they first created the CFB HOF who were the very first people inducted? My dad’s coach, Bill Alexander, was in the inaugural class.

Or how about HOF coach Bobby Dodd, for whom the national coach of the year award is named?

Or how about HOF coach Frank Broyles who was a Dodd player and asst coach, for whom the national asst coach of the year award is named?

Or how about the Homer Rice, our former AD, for whom the national AD award is named?

And of course Heisman is more our coach than any other. He coached four times longer at Tech than anywhere else. And I’m sure you know everything he’s famous for.

Then we get into the players, the games, the championships, the traditions, everything else. Hell Nikita Krushchev sang our fight song to Nixon, John Wayne did it on film, Marilyn Monroe supported us on the cover of Look, we were the first team to go to all the big bowls, really it goes on and on.

Also, we single handedly caused the emphasis on chop blocks that has done so much to promote player safety recently.

PS. That said UT has contributed plenty also.

Damn, as a Tech fan I was born 40 years too late. It sounds like it was a lot of fun back in the day.

Are yall serious? Did UTenn actually hire someone with no head coaching experience?

Should have hired Peyton Manning and just let the 5 star QB's line up, everthing else would fall into place.
