We haven’t had a good laugh at State thread in a few days

It ain't about being satisfied - its about what happened on the field. State is in year one of a new coaching staff and in their 8th year overall. They have a streak over their rivals and a bowl win - pretty decent for a team in their (admittedly lower) position, I think. Is this just about them being nice to uga on social media? Don't understand why some seem so threatened by State though. I thought lions didn't concern themselves with the opinions of sheep ;)

Why are you here? Go back to panther talk or whatever it is now and jerk off over beating Southern. Congrats you beat a team everyone else beat too.

I'm here because I grew up a Tech fan.

We made the drive from Lee county on a Thursday night to see Tech play Maryland - probably the 10th or 11th game I'd ever been to (We only got to see one or two a year in person). After the game we returned to find the family van towed and now we're stranded in Atlanta and I'm sure my dad is about to lose it. In the midst of the chaos, some State students have noticed whats going on from their rooms in what is now the North Ave. Apartments. They brought out blankets and water and kept us company while we waited for the tow truck. One of them told me he was a film student and that piqued my interest, to say the least.

Fast forward 10 years later, I'm graduating with a film degree from State as they're beginning their first football season. The industry has really blossomed here and I've been lucky enough to constantly have work and stay in Atlanta and buy a home and establish savings. It's not a Tech degree, but I'm doing alright.

Last year I went to two Tech games and two State games - had a great time at both. Tech and State are both in my blood and I want the best for both of them.

I learned from listening to 92.9 last week that
(1) Tech's academic restrictions are a bunch of bullshit because "I know a few former players", and
(2) Georgia State's football program has more potential than GT
Georgia State's program does have more potential than Georgia Tech. Hell, everyone points to UCF's massive enrollment numbers as a factor for success. Doesn't Georgia State have about 75,000 students. We're an awfully smug bunch with a team that has had two losing seasons out of the last three and got punked by Virginia and Duke, and showed no resistance against Georgia or Clempsen.

It's 50k, but about 20k of those were brought in by the Georgia Perimeter merger, so it's more like 30k. But they could have 100,000 and it wouldn't matter. No campus culture and no one cares about their football team.

So there you have it. Which set of dum-basses made the above aforementioned statements?

I am trying to figure out how if the academic restrictions are b.s., how is it that State has more potential?

Punk bitches

That's something we can agree on! You do know Georgia State will be in a P5 by the end of 2022, so says many on the Panther Talk Board.
Watch out GT, the Panthers are coming for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

AND THATS NOT FUNNY!

According to many on the Panther, not all, you run the Spread Triple Option which they could demolish with their "D"!
You know you run a gimmick offense.

Strange that we, above anybody else, would ever underestimate a potential enemy.

Many here must not have been in attendance during Curry’s masterful displays vs. Furman.

And how low a bar have we set for ourselves to make the evening school of commerce a focus of attention?

This focus can not be placed on puke, unc, or ugag?

I'll play along. Who says that?

Lmfao!! "If you build it, the homeless will come"
I love that this is a thread. You dont create threads about anyone unless youre worried. Oh and posting a picture of 61 plus minutes before kickoff. Brilliant. LOL

We are not you or UGA nor do we claim to be. And thats ok. But, our program has been around 8 years. Yours over a century. As the ESPN article said, we are at the Steve Jobs in the garage stage; still building. What is your excuse? I read this board. You have sooooo many excuses. :)

Have a great weekend.

I like Georgia State. I took two classes there during my last semester because Tech wasn't offering them during summer. I'd say it's a better school than uga. Their fanbase is probably more Falcons fans than uga or Tech. Whoever sent out that tweet is more than likely a dwag. They don't have enough history yet with either school to develop a rivalry.
