To school, maybe; to the NFL as a player, no.
I read the whole thing. My thoughts are - good for him to listening to his mind and body and getting out before the game got him out. But I also think that if he was going to go back to get his degree, he would have done it. The fact that he's tried to start back twice but got distracted by some activity is sign enough that he probably doesn't care that much about it. Which is totally fine and I am not judging, but it is what it is. It would be cool if he eventually became a visible part of our football program again.

I love a Tech degree as much as the next guy, but he has no need for one. He's got plenty of opportunities coming his way without one, business and otherwise.

Agree 100%. Waste of his time. Although I think he may end up doing it for his parents. They were the reason he came to Tech.

There are so many alternatives to traditional brick and mortar schools now though. If he really wants to finish his degree, then he can, he just needs to get started.

I personally completed the last two years of my degree by taking CLEP, DANTES, and ECE exams with 4 classes through Excelsior College.

With MOOCs and credit by examination, completing a college degree can be as quick as you like if you dedicate the time to it.

Career advancement isn’t the only reason to go back to college.

Also, he’s wearing a gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks. Could be an Offshore based on size.

He might not have taken calculus yet. Everyone knows you can not succeed in life without knowing calculus.
