Jacob Eason

Go Huskies!

At least he stuck around UGAg long enough to get his participation trophy.

He shouldn't have let Richt talk him into staying. Take note, recruits, of the perils of "committing to the G".

Just always kind of figured he'd end up in Miami.

It's sad to see people make such poor life-changing decisions at such a young age. If he went to Miami and allowed Richt to develop him, he might have put up good numbers and made it to the league. Instead he went to uga, wasn't developed, left the team, and will effectively lose 2 seasons of eligibility (2017 and 2018). Staying in Athens cost him millions.

He went to UGA when Richt was there.

You mean his staying at UGAg instead of following Richt was his mistake?

He couldn't beat Fromm out of a starting position at UGAg after he recovered from his injury, but if he had transferred to Miami he might have made league?

How about the scouting services had the kid way over-rated?

He was recruited by Richt. When Richt was fired, he decided to stay committed. He should have flipped his commitment to a team with a proven QB developer.

How many QBs did Richt recruit and who would you consider "developed"?

Let's see:

2001 - 2004 David Greene - Drafted Round 3
2004 - 2005 DJ Shockley - Drafted Round 7
2005 - 2006 Joe Tereshiniski - Not Drafted
2006 - 2008 Matthew Stafford - Drafted Round 1, Pick 1
2009 Joe Cox - Not Drafted
2010 - 2013 Aaron Murray - Drafted Round 5
2014 Hutson Mason - Signed as Free Agent

So Richt put 5 of his 7 QBs in the league, including a #1 overall pick. That's a pretty good hit rate.

Don’t forget his time at FSU.
