Tech Gold to be revealed tomorrow

Time to clean out the Tech section of my closet and go shopping.

I done spunt one fiddy on Adidas stuff. Even my UGAg girlfriend got a long sleeve Adidas pullover.

They had a limited selection out outside the stadium. Prices were fair. $25 for the Tees and $35 for the long sleeve. The white "3 Stripe Life" and the other white GT tee are the good soft fabric construction. The gold one I saw was a plain tee.
The polo was $80 - which I didn't get because I generally wear t-shirts on warm games or a hoody on a cold game. I hope there is a nice selection of GT hoodys coming out from Adidas.

Not very encouraging on the day they announce our new tech gold that almost all of the offerings are in white and a lot of blue. I think I've seen one token t-shirt?

I hope they prove me wrong, but I'm skeptical as to how much we are actually going to get. I'd really like to see a much more diverse selection of gear from Adidas beyond what we've already seen. I also think it's going to be a long time before we get other brands and licensees on board with the new gold/wordmark/branding standards.

I'm completely on board and ready to replace all my vegas gold and Russell öööö.

Can't believe the hatred for Buzz here. I always thought Mike Lester, who drew him, was a genius for making a Yellow Jacket so appealing. I used to be a cartoonist and am generally highly picky about cartoon mascots; Buzz is one of the best. The grin makes the whole thing work.

Buzz is a great mascot and a great secondary logo. I don't think it's hate so much as its been used too often as the primary logo or as part of the primary logo. Imagine if hairy dog was used more often in marketing and merchandising than the ubiquitous oblong G.

Also I sometimes wonder if Buzz is too generic to be instantly recognized as Georgia Tech. Lots of high schools and other organizations use him legally and illegally.

I like Buzz. I dont mind if we use him less, but I wouldnt want to see the logo go away entirely.

This site is so full of hate!!!! No love here!!!!

If Tech has indeed a new font which we see in Georgia Tech, what about the numbers? Shouldn't they be updated and used in all sports?
