Our starters were coming out in q2 last time.

This. We boat raced them from the get-go last time and they had 13. It all depends on how well our offense plays. If we score early and often, start seeing more subs on D and they move the ball more. If offense öööös the bed, starters play more and defensive production likely looks better from a stat standpoint. I'd rather see backups get a lot of playing time.
