What excuses do the CPJ lovers make now?

fine. I'm tired of watching our D roll over like sad puppies and then watch our D suck it up when we need 'em to score. The 4th qtr was the 2nd half of the 2017 Duke game all over again.

Up 10 and neither side could do jack öööö to hold the lead. No D. No O. Surely you're not saying we should be fine with this?
Now Ramblin Wreck92 you know all of our goals are still in front of us, dont forget we can still go 6-6 LOL

I think it’s a reasonable question as to why we lose so many games where we are leading by double digit points in the last quarter.

I think one reason might be we lack depth. Our defense and offense just really start sucking towards the end of the game because they are tired and don’t have subs.

Alternatively, we may have the talent, but our coaches do a poor job of subbing them in and out as necessary to make sure they are fresh while playing.

Another issue I think is our death marches. We count on these long 5-6 minute drives to win us the match. The problem is a long drive means a lot of plays, which tremendously increases the odds of a turnover. We suck up a lot of time but don’t get any points. When the opposing team’s offense comes on, they have nothing to lose, are playing a hurry up offense, and our defense is probably nervous and tight, having been sitting around doing nothing, and afraid that they are gonna be blamed for yet another loss.

Reduced standards and almost unlimited exceptions. For example jr college transfers were an integral part of the NC team. Additionally, the NCAA rules about advancement to a degree weren’t in place for Ross’s years.

And Ross’s record was still pretty mediocre except for that one year.
Are we really so worried about the remote possibility of losing a scholarship for one year that we are passing on taking athletes because we aren't sure they can make the grade at GT? I mean, hell...every single year we end up giving at least one scholarship to a walk-on and most years, it's 2 or 3. I'd rather take a gamble on a kid like Daryl Smith flunking out and us losing that scholly for a year than making sure we have plenty left to give to the guys who are already on the team anyway.

And the reason I picked D Smyth is that I have heard he said that he would not be allowed entry to GT under the current standards because of his HS transcript but when he got to Tech, he decided to get serious about academics and worked hard with tutors to make sure he stayed eligible and passed his classes.

So now the O did enough to win? You were criticizing the O earlier.

The O choked and fumbled when it could've put the game away then it looked like dog öööö after that.

still, take away the 2 KO Return TDs and we win.

He can't figure out who he hates most.

keep on trying to insult fans who are tired of horseshit losses like this. It does nothing to hide the embarrassing lack of fundamentals on display every week by CPJ-coached teams. But I'm sure your snark makes you feel better so snark away.

I would say we had three college head coaches on that staff, Ross, Friedgen and O'Leary who knew what it took to run a successful program. I am curious who the integral players were that were JC players. I know Veryl Miller transferred in from Syracuse but I can't remember anyone else.

Go öööö yourself you whiny little bitch.

Nebraska 28 vs Colorado 33

NEB Total Yards – 565
Rushing – 329 @ 7.2 per carry
Passing – 329 @ 6.1 per catch

Georgia Tech 38 vs USF 49

GT Total Yards -595
Rushing – 412 yards @ 7.2 per rush
Passing – 183 yards @ 10.2 per catch

I was listing to a Nebraska post game show and they were surprised that Neb put up 565 yards and still lost the game. Now Scot Frost did not have a first game to review his team and make changes while GT did.
Still GT’s offense put up 595 total yards and 38 points.

Some of you don’t believe that PJs Spread Triple option attack is still a viable offense. The Offense is NOT the problem. I don’t know if PJ can get GTs Defense up and running, but for GT to be a contender the defense has to step up.

I also think that USF is a better team than Colorado at this point.

Lavin and Mooney, iirc.

1st of all, your numbers for Nebraska dont add up. 2nd, I'm seeing a lot of posters who take pride in being the tallest midget, but the fact of the matter is, we lost. Yardage, TOP, none of that matters. Ws are the only thing you should be satisfied with. Not one person will ever remember our statistical "victories" in 10 years.

Having had a night to calm down and reassess the game, I think we had a dozen different chances to win and we failed at all of them. No single aspect of the team was to blame for that loss, it was a team loss, and they almost always are despite CPJ insisting its always some other part of the team's fault besides the offense. The offense is not the juggernaut some of you claim it to be.

Can we enroll CPJ in the Management program so he can learn how to manage an entire organization effectively?

My first stats post on NEB.
NEB Total Yards – 565
Rushing – 329 @ 7.2 per carry
Passing – 329 @ 6.1 per catch

OMNIPO, you were right!

NEB - 236 @ 8.1 reception
Rushing 329 @ 6.1 per carry
Yet they still had 565 total yards.

Thank you for looking into the NEB. stats and the correction.
