The case to keep Paul

The defense hasnt worried me yet. Its still too early to tell. The defense didnt lose this game for us.
They definitely didn't help. I've never seen a worse tackling unit than the one Woody is trotting out there on Saturday.

We have to hope it is because they are young and it is Woody's first year.

They tackle like öööö, that's undeniable and needs to be quickly addressed, but they were only really responsible for 17 points Pitt scored today, which should have been more than enough defense to win this game (according to the argument Paul likes to use for why his offense is so great). Paul's play calling gave up the other 7, and the offense's inability to do anything but öööö their pants lost this one. Even kickoffs were fantastic this week.

Weekly anticipation to see which unit sucks the worst.

Yeah, lets trot him out there against Clemson. That seems like the defense you want to throw an inexperienced QB out there against.

I wanted a change midway through the 1st half today. I want a change, but I don't want to throw him to the sharks against Clemson. That is an awful idea.

I will continue to be at games cheering, but I believe the end of the Paul Johnson era is before us. We just don’t look good in any facet of the game, and we aren’t winning. The fact we haven’t won a road game since Matthew Jordan led us to a victory at VT in 2016 is telling.

Last year was a bad year, and things certainly don’t look any better so far this year. A win against Clemson would cover a multitude of sins, of course. And if, IF, that begins a season rally to end with 8, 9, or 10 wins, then its a different conversation. But I’m not counting on that.

Per someone on the hive, we only owe CPJ $2M if we part ways after this year. I hope CPJ turns it around, but if not, thank you, thank you, thank you, TStan.

(1) DC is in his first year. We’re young a need to give him at least another year.

(2) whoever takes PJs place is probably going to suck on offense (this will be the case whenever he’s gone).

(3) PJ has won before and he’ll win again.

(4) Offense is doing good just had some bad final scores

(5) We beat Clemson next week and finish 10-2
The case to stop smoking crack....everything you listed.

What I can’t figure out.. Is all of the wacky öööö that happens to us just terrible luck or somehow bad coaching? Phony late hits, targeting, wacky fumbles, injuries, dropped passes, terrible passes, cancelled flights, missed extra points... Seems to happen to us too consistently to be just bad luck.

You make your own luck.

Pretty sure we beat Uga on the road that year too, along with KY in the bowl game, but damn that was a long time ago...
