Alternate Unis for Saturday

We're still undefeated in our new adidas white shirts with gold numbers.

I vote nay. The bad-luck-blue jackets have been cursed ever since the Oct. 17, 1992 melt down against F$U. Tech blew a big
24-10 4th quarter lead, and lost 24-29. Incidentally, F$U wore gold helmets/white shirts/gold pants on Grant Field that day.

If you want a consistent performance on the field, one must have a consistent uniform. It must be true to one's tradition. See Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. As said before, uniform changes are gimmicks for losers.

Tech should wear its traditional uniforms for EVERY home game. That being gold helmets/white shirts/gold pants forever. Period.
How many of the heartbreaking losses to FSU in the 90's and early 00's happened while we were wearing gold helmets/white shirts/gold pants? EVERY one of them. We had B*** L**** as our head coach for that 1992 game, and you want to blame the jerseys. The Tech Curse is that we're Tech. We can't get out of our own way. Well, except that one time on a blocked kick TD return, when we wore gimmicky all-white unis for a gimmicky whiteout at home and beat Florida State in one of the most incredible wins we've ever had.

Best Combo ever....

I really like that they're doing this. Give the fans Sunday through Tuesday to masturbate/whine about the previous game, Wednesday and Thursday to talk about uniforms, Friday to get ourselves deluded about what's going to happen the next day, and Saturday to sit in silent, heavily drunken shock.

So I won't be able to tell the "8" from the "5" again from the stands since the outline of the number is so thin.

Beige numerals on white jerseys are next to invisible. Tech may as well not be wearing any numbers as they're illegible. They need to go back to navy/black numerals. It's a lot more interesting when you know which player just made the play. I got 20/20 vision and still couldn't read them, especially when the sun was reflecting off their backs.

We already went through this in 2011. Tech opened the season against Western Carolina wearing the white jerseys with light gold numerals. I remember many fans complained, and by the next game the Yellow Jackets wear wearing navy numbers again.
