This Week We Are All Wildcats

It works optimally when UGA is 0-11 and we hand them the biggest ass whooping of their season to send them to 0-12.

I hope they lose to Kentucky, Auburn, UMass, and ourselves.
Absolutely. I hate when they win ANY game

I believe there is a chance - UK defense has been good this year, especially their pass rush. They beat decent UF and MSU teams. If UGAG has a letdown, this could happen.

With that said, UGAG has much more talent and depth, so it should not happen.

I feel like I say this every year, but if only we had a halfway decent defense...

Seriously? Shall we talk about three straight fumbles or two kickoff returns for TDs first?

That's certainly not the issue this year. It's the extremes from the offense. We looked nigh unstoppable on offense in a few games (see Louisville, VippySue, BiGSUe) and we've looked completely inept in a few games (see Duke/1st half Pitt). I'd gladly trade a few possessions each from Louisville BGSU for a couple of TDs vs Duke and Pitt. I checked with the ACC front office, and they said we couldn't do that. I blame swofford and the tobacco road bias.

We rank 106 in Defense S&P. You were saying?

I don't think their rating algo is all that relevant to real world discussion. And my point about 3 fumbles (and TO margin in general this year) is still valid.

And the fact that we gave up 31 to L'ville is somewhat due to the fact that we boatraced them and scored quickly. But again this is part of my point that this measure is irrelevant.

We lost two games (Pitt and Duke) because the offense performed poorly. Defense wasn't the problem in those games. Clemson is Clemson. And we lost to USF, a decent team, after allowing two KO returns for TDs.

Our defense has been decent lately, but it was still pretty awful early in the season. The USF game was pathetic, and we gave up 21 points to VT before we even started playing defense. I do think the aggressive, turnover-forcing style is a better match for our offense, but we're still not good on that side of the ball by any stretch.

Good? No, great.

When you toss out the cupcakes, UK's defense is #1 nationally in scoring defense.

Yes, you read that correctly, KY leads the nation in scoring defense (again, excluding cupcakes). Clemson is #3, Michigan is #4 and Bama is #7.

Wow. I knew they were good, but not THAT good. I think they may need to win the turnover battle in this one to come out on top, though. UGA has benefitted from backbreaking turnovers at the beginning of at least 3 SEC games this year, so hopefully that doesn't happen again.

How many yards does Snell need to beat uga? UK win if he goes for 100? More?

If Snell doesn't go for at least 100 yards, UK is in serious trouble, but only because Snell makes most of his hay each game on like 2 huge runs. UK needs those Snellsplosions badly. The good news is perhaps that LSU showed him the way. Just put him at QB.

ööööem. You do understand that Kentucky is a product of a öööö subdivision and are not actually good right? They haven’t played any team or consequence in their öööö subdivision. They’re only ranked wherever they are because sec. uga for all their flaws is going to make quick work of uk. I think we’re ugas biggest source of resistance. Whether that’s good or bad is to be determined.
Have you actually looked at Kentucky's schedule? They're really good.
