Michael really got under his skin saying we fumble 5x more than Army and 2x as much as Navy :lol2:

I will say this - CPJ has been pretty consistent after every game that they are not doing enough as coaches on the fumbling. It's not like they aren't taking responsibility for it.

Any defensive coordinator that prepares to play us will conclude from the film that their best strategy is to knock the ball out and force fumbles. Our players need to expect it every time they carry the ball. It doesn't seem like that would be hard to understand or require special coaching.

A lot of the fumbles now seem to be frosh mistakes (not keeping it close) by a few of the younger players. Contrast it with earlier in the year where the majority seemed to be either c/qb exchange or bad pitch relationship (by upperclassmen).

Still frustrating, but its far more excusable.

Was disappointed in cpjs response. Could've taken that criticism much better.

Why should CPJ have to take criticism from a fan on the radio? Absurd that a fan would even do it. I mean it could be the fan of another team just calling in to try & make a negative impact.

The staff gave back several thousand dollars of their salary this week alone.

I haven't heard what the guy said, maybe he went over the top – but obvs the point of a public forum is for the public to ask questions, even pointed questions.

Let me translate: Coach, let me tell you all the stats on why you and your team is bad and give you two bad choices to choose from.... Not a good way to phrase a question to anyone.

I am starting to learn there are no good questions for the radio show. This has nothing to do with CPJ. He does not want to get technical on Xs and Os as most of us would not understand. He does not want to give away game plans or information to help the other team. He is not going to give the inside scoop on a player.

What else would you want to know?

Sounds like the old lunch with O’Leary. He would get quite prickly at pointed questions.

Can’t imagine any coach really enjoys the shows that are obligated. I’m sure there’s an Alabama fan complaining about something as well.

Something like "GT has fumbled 5x more than Army and 3x more than Navy. Is that lack of drilling or lack of focus?"

He forgot to ask when did CPJ quit beating his wife?

See, I think that's a very easy question to answer.

I don't mind CPJ dismissing and ridiculing dumb questions but he dismisses and ridicules good/legit questions, too. He gets paid a lot of money to do that show.

"GT has fumbled 5x more than Army and 3x more than Navy. What can be done to get the numbers in line with other schools running this offense?" would probably have not been as caustic. I'm sure the man knows about the fumbles....

Agreed.

I think pointed questions are fair game.
Without a fan base he doesn’t have a job, hypothetically.
Part of his contract is the radio show and he gets paid a handsome sum for the radio show.

I will try to listen to the radio show over a few round trips from work but half the time won’t reaume it after a ride or two because it’s the same recycled crap from him. And I can’t stand Demetras voice. It sounds stupid relative to his face. And Paul clearly doesn’t care for him and the radio show is just awkward. And his cell phone is constantly ringing. The whole thing is awkward and amateur.
