PA at GT game

I was praying to gods I didn't believe in and some I made up on the spot

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then the HELL with you!

A couple of do-overs I wish Tech had are the sound system and the upper north - never liked either and the $$$ spent on both could have been put to better use.

We put money into our sounds system? Anyone ever sat on Tech Terrace? Seems like it would be unbearable with speakers right above you.

I don’t think those are the main drivers. I thought that the main drivers are behind the advertising on each side of the Jumbotron.

This is from 2009 - http://www.jblpro.com/press/dec09/JBL_GeorgiaTech.html

Have we upgraded since 09?

(Also- GTU sighting)

They even öööö that up when they dont ask how bout them dawgs. At least that happened at the Miami game.
They have been having a "What's the Good Word?" Chant before every home game. Started it with a cop who was an honoree for First Reponders Day - and when he did not finish it with "How about them Dwags?" I figured that he was either an infidel dwag or just didn't know about GT traditions. Then it happened again and again - with people who should know better. My faith was restored when Lasky completed the chant when he had his chance at the UM game.

What's the Good Word? Without How about them dwags? Sacrilege. And probably some sort of PC plot by the same asshole that hired the piece of öööö that operates the AV system at Grant Field.

öööö that guy.

What about the total random game that gets shown on the jumbotron at some point throughout the game? I *think* it was BC and FSU yesterday which is at least ACC but a few times this year I remember them showing random Iowa game or UF against a nobody.

Timeout at 3rd and forever in the 4th, ran to the restroom, heard some poppy piano music, and swore my wife must have turned it to Dawson's Creek.

Over in Blacksburg they killing it with some death metal while in the ATL we listening to Dawson's Creek's greatest hits.

Also weird that during the very first timeout, folks still getting settled in, they did a "kids dance cam"

And for God's sake, stop with the "who wants a free T shirt?" bullshit where the same ööööing student sections in the lower north get a few t shirts thrown at them. If you are gonna give t shirts away, maybe move through the crowd during the game and give a few out to some places beyond the pathetic reach of a cheerleader who struggles to throw it 25 feet. Every kid in 218 starts begging for a t shirt.

At the Miami game, the normal season tix holder next to my seats couldn't make it so she gave her tix to her neighbor and his sons. He asked if they make it up there. I said never.

I bet the student section next to the band has gotten hundreds of free t shirts over the last several years. How about maybe moving through the crowd every so often, like when members of the band play around the stadium during the third quarter, and make some kids and families happy they got a surprise t shirt while sitting in section 203 or something?

And the "free improvement" seats during the Miami game? From where? They just moved to some mediocre LW seats. I would refuse if you tried to move me unless they were box terrace seats with food and beverages provided.

And, one last stupid thing, during the Miami game, they had a giveaway of some sort to an upcoming GT football home game. I hope that included the 2019 schedule, being only UVA was left on the schedule at home during the giveaway.

Let Taquan throw the T-shirts out into the stands. Gaurantees to be a random distribution and keep the fans guessing!

They're like, "Let's play some hip-hop, you know, for the players." [Proceeds to play mediocre rap from 20 years ago that's not quite old enough, or good enough, to be considered classic.]

I sit in 101, basically right in the line of fire. The volume levels have been all over the place this year (even swinging wildly during a game). Earlier this season, when the AA asked me for gameday feedback, the only thing I mentioned was the terrible PA programming\engineering. After the Bowling Green game, I contemplated bringing earplugs with me.
