David Sims pounded the mutts into submission that day. We don't have a brute like Sims but I believe the rain would definitely help our cause. We darn near pulled off a huge upset on a rainy field against the SEC chumps in 1976. Our A-backs are pretty good but I don't know if we have anybody like Sims. Ivery, Burns, Choice, or Hollins.

I looked it up a long time ago and can't remember it exactly but I calculated the TD/Carry ratio for David Simms and it was mind boggling. I'll see if I can dig it up and repost it. The guy was a machine for touchdowns.

If it is raining then Oliver needs to play. TM with his dancing will be aslippin' and aslidin'.

NO RAIN GAMES. 2017 spurned me against thinking that’s good for the option.

Sorry to rain on this parade but I don't think the field will be sloppy. The rain forecast is for generally light rain overnight and nominally stopping by game time. Totals are expected to be about 3/4".

agreed - we need rain and then let TO keep it 50 times. Rain doesn't affect the QB Keeper.

I'm not sure if the option was the problem, or the fact that Marshall has small hands for a QB. I'm leaning toward the latter, because it seems to me that rain would help a running team.

I’m not sure why you think rain favors us? Their offensive strength is also running the ball............

They’re going to have nearly as many running plays as we will. Don’t think it’s an advantage for us- in fact it could restrict the pitch allowing them to load the box.

If it rains, heck even if it doesn’t, it is guaranteed that we will have the wrong cleats.

Whatever happened to Adrian Rucker? David was a beast.

What a great game. Only GT students and die hards in the stands when it ended. My younger brother was in the 7th grade, I took him to his first GT game. We will talk about that game on Saturday. He got out of GT in 85. None of his fraternity brothers understood our desire of rain and cold at the Nadlicker game. Drinking clear whiskey this year.

Rain gives us an advantage in both the running and passing game. Think about the kind of passes we throw.

85? So same era as me. What fraternity?

Please don’t remind me of Adrian Rucker. I still have nightmares about that game.
