Johnson to retire

As soon as we hire a spread/prostyle HC or OC, the 3option will return to prominence in CFB and in 2 years you guys will be crying about why we need to dump what we have for an option coach.
I'm willing to wager significant money with you that this won't happen.

If a college football video game is ever made again, bringing back option football to the Flats is the very first thing I'm going to do!

Whisenhunt played five different positions for Tech, if I remember correctly. He'd be a big time connection to the NFL.

And he's done nothing in his career to suggest he'd be a good college headcoach. If he hadn't played at GT (or a teammate of Tstan's), he wouldn't be within miles of the radar. Sure, he "knows" GT, but no experience recruiting/coaching in college and his head coaching record in the NFL is pretty mediocre.

I trust Stansbury to make a good, circumspect, considered decision. He wants to be a great AD here, like his AD hero Homer Rice. He's not just going to give his buddy the job here out of friendship. I'm excited to see whom we come up with.

And he "knows" GT from the early 80s - things are a lot different here, and in the general world of college football, than they were when he was a player. Hopefully the "leading candidate" talk around him is just echo chamber stuff because he's a coach who played at GT, and he's not a serious contender for the job.

Bingo. Gets annoying when inevitably, fonts tard up the speculation by throwing out a former player's name whose resume is either really thin/non-existent (for the college game) all because they played here--when if you removed the GT beside the playing career, they would be no where near a coaching search.

I'd like to think that Tstan (despite not making a football hire before) and that GT can attract someone whose more qualified than "former" player.

I knew TS was putting GT first when Roof was let go.

Paul is a really good dude. I used to have a standing appointment with him, every week, and it usually just turned into me and him checking his stock portfolio and telling each other jokes.
I bet PJ has some good stories to tell. I enjoyed the call-in show during the earlier years.

Let's get something straight here. I'm never a misogynist except for when I am, and even then I am sensitive about it, except for when i'm not. Not all women are the same except for when they are.

Security guard here was a gsu bback when johnson was the OC. He’s got great things to say about cpj.

How about the coach of uga's scout team? wouldn't have to change personnel.
