Are you a) pissed that you got screwed as one of the only 4 undefeated teams, or b) happy that you don't have to get stomped by Alabama and probably get to reasonably claim another fake national championship?

I'm going with talk like a), but secretly be thankful according to b).

Imagine if Oklahoma wins it all... The UCF fans would be super loud. I'm honestly surprised the committee didn't choose then just to shut them up.

If you chose UCF, then there will be other unbeaten G5 teams to choose in the following years. Boise State, Houston, etc.

Your OOC schedule was:

SC St
UNC - Cancelled
FAU
Pitt

That isn't enough for a non-P5 team to get in. Go on the road and play a top 10 opponent if you want consideration.

It is a blatant restraint of trade freeze out perpetrated by the P5 schools.
People spent decades complaining about the old system and demanding a playoff. What they actually want is a process where any team can win the national championship on the field. UCF has shown that’s not possible in the current system. No matter how they played their year, UCF was never getting into the playoff unless other teams screwed up (e.g. 2 loss P5 champions).

The only way to fix it is to let every conference champion into the playoffs (even the Sunbelt). There’s several ways to do that.

D1 conferences/2 = playoff span, at least 6 weeks, not counting independents. Independent schools play there own MNC. Playoffs start end of October. That really messes up post Thanksgiving Conf. Championships and possibly rivalry weekend. We don't have to worry about this scenario because the whole thing is about money. Controversy creates money. There not going to change anything. Boz was right NCAA is the National Communist Athletic Association.

I know it is being contrarian, but I liked the old bowl system better. Not the bowl set up where we have 40 bowl games, most of them meaningless. Have about 15 bowl games that are genuine rewards for achieving teams. That way you get the top thirty or so teams, match ups dictated by the marketplace, no conference tie -ins. At the end of the day there would be 8 or ten winners surviving and the AP or somebody votes a champion. The debate is then "Georgia Tech of Colorado" just like the debate today was "Oklahoma or Ohio State, Georgia or Central Florida." It's imperfect, but so is the present system.

Nah. Promote the American to a Power Conference. Remaining G4 conferences are moved to 11 game schedules, then you paid them up and make their champions play. Resulting 2 teams are added to the field of 6 champions to have an 8 team playoff. Independents have to join a conference or they’re left out.

The only way to fix it is to completely freeze out the non-p5 schools and let them have their own playoff. They won’t make any money, but we would get more cash. The non-p5 schools bring 0 to the table.

I agree with this completely. This is probably better for the players too.

You mean like last year when handled Auburn with ease
...huh?

Did your reading comprehension conclude that I was insulting UCF's bowl draw? If we swapped bowls I'd be ecstatic obviously
