Derp...huh?
Did your reading comprehension conclude that I was insulting UCF's bowl draw? If we swapped bowls I'd be ecstatic obviously

I wonder if UCF could file charges under the RICO act against the NCAA like the minority owners of the Expos did against MLB.I think UCF should sue. What else could they have done. They've beat every team on their schedule for two years.

It's why the bowl argument for present vs past coaches is stupid. It used to be difficult to get an invite - ANY invite. The 1989 Jackets went 7-4 and got snubbed before going out and winning the natty the next season. The 2010 Jackets lost 4 of our last 5 before staggering to Shreveport in December and another loss to USAF.I know it is being contrarian, but I liked the old bowl system better. Not the bowl set up where we have 40 bowl games, most of them meaningless. Have about 15 bowl games that are genuine rewards for achieving teams. That way you get the top thirty or so teams, match ups dictated by the marketplace, no conference tie -ins. At the end of the day there would be 8 or ten winners surviving and the AP or somebody votes a champion. The debate is then "Georgia Tech of Colorado" just like the debate today was "Oklahoma or Ohio State, Georgia or Central Florida." It's imperfect, but so is the present system.
Especially with Alcorn, Bowling Green, North Carolina and Louisville on the schedule. In my opinion it was hard work to lose five games this year. It's why the bowl argument for present vs past coaches is stupid. It used to be difficult to get an invite - ANY invite. Not making a bowl in this day and age should be cause for job termination.
This year's Tech team – which is not a good team – would be 9-3 with Tech's schedule. This year’s Tech team - which is not a good team - would be 9-3 with UCF’s schedule.
Wait - Scott Frost pit UCF at 5?? That's cold. He's already drinking the P5 koolaid.
I'd imagine that rustled some jimmies in Orlando.Wait - Scott Frost pit UCF at 5?? That's cold. He's already drinking the P5 koolaid.
Yes they did. Auburn had beaten ugag and bama and then lost to ugag in the rematch/SECCG. Their difference maker, Carryon Johnson, got hurt in the rematch with ugag and wasn't nearly the same in UCF's Superbowl vs. a very deflated Auburn.Didn’t UCF beat #7 Auburn last year?
Not exactly, Kerryon Johnson got hurt in the Iron Bowl and played hurt in the SEC Championship game rematch with UGA one week later. Kerryon had a month to get well before the game with UCF (but he may not have been 100%).Yes they did. Auburn had beaten ugag and bama and then lost to ugag in the rematch/SECCG. Thank you. I don't mind being corrected. Not exactly, Kerryon Johnson got hurt in the Iron Bowl and played hurt in the SEC Championship game rematch with UGA one week later. Kerryon had a month to get well before the game with UCF (but he may not have been 100%).

They’re not griping - they just want a chance to prove it on the field. Their National Championship claim is tongue in cheek just to stick it to the man “NCAA”. I think what they’re doing is awesome and totally refreshing to watch. Thanks for the info!
Sounds like UCF’s best win was over the same team that UGA’s best win was and they didn’t lose a game.
UGA’s overall schedule was clearly stronger, but UCF beat everyone ahead of them including the best team UGA who made it to the playoffs last year with losses beat.
Sounds like UCF has legitimate reasons to gripe.
