As much as I hate to admit it, that's the same general drift as the whispers I started hearing about CPJ being offered a sweetened pot to "retire."

I believed the CPJ part, but didn't want to believe the Whiz part. Starting to look like the truth...

I haven't cared much for your whining in the threads after you crawled out from under your rock this week, but I must say that I agree with you on this 100%.
 
I'm in the minority but I wouldn't mind Whisenhunt as our HC. I just hope he would bring in a heck of a staff for recruiting and I'd be curious to see who he chose as OC and DC. Specifically, would he try to run a pro-set or would he be willing to go spread option attack? We don't have the personnel for a pro style offense right now but a transition to spread wouldn't be a huge departure from what we do now.

It really sucks that our "big money alums" and influencers (Curry) and AD and increasingly likely next coach all come from and seem to be nostalgic for the "wandering in the desert" period of GT football between Dodd and O'Leary during which we had like 3 noteworthy seasons in 30 years, and seem determined to get us back to those days.

saw Rip Scherer is the tight ends coach with the Chargers , think he will come back to the Flats with KW? Giff Smith is there too.

If Rip Scherer is on the new staff you can count me out. He sucks. How does he even have a job in football?

People with connections on the inside. If you look back on my posts for a few weeks, you’ll see where I predicted it probably the week before the UVA game or some such. I know I’ve mentioned it as well to a few people.

CPJ was offered a deal better than his current contract to retire, but less than what it would’ve cost us to fire him now.
 
Hold up to the Wiz coming is getting Kliff Kingsbury on board as OC. That is why Stansbury was in LA last week.
