Factory coordinators tend to be better than non factory coordinators because factories have the cash to hire virtually anyone. Also there’s a belief that factory coordinators have the blueprint to be a factory.

Same thing happens in business. People want Apple / Google / GE / Goldman / McKinsey alumni.

Good point but there are also mediocre guys who start at factories as GAs and aren't there because they've worked their way up

Just like there are smart people at uGa and idiots at GT - always exceptions. But if you grab a random Tech student and a random uGA student, the stereotype probably holds
