It's actually a great set-up if you think about it. Coach Johnson focuses on the game while Coach Collins focuses on recruiting.

I think this is right. CPJ is acting as sort of an interim coach preparing for the bowl game and Collins focusing on everything else

I was thinking about this earlier. We are really in a very lucky position. You can lose a coach through firing, getting hired away, or by retirement. This has to be the way that will keep the most momentum and Goodwill with the program and should help facilitate a smoother transition .

Coach Collins addressed this in his press conference. He’s going to observe practices, recruit and cheer the team on in Detroit.

Current staff basically auditioning to stay. I like it.

Agreed but the part I liked the most is something nobody has mentioned yet.
He talked about how fans were going to love watching how fun practice is. Which means we can once attend practices. Yeah, baby!
