Or does CGC not actually start until Dec 26?

If so, who takes the lead with closing commitments for Dec. 19?

I'm not completely sure I understand how the next three weeks is supposed to work.

I imagine that CPJ coaches the team and CGC does everything else (recruiting, fundraising, building a staff).

I think this is right. CPJ is acting as sort of an interim coach preparing for the bowl game and Collins focusing on everything else

It will be interesting to see if either HC shows up to the bball game tomorrow night.

I was thinking about this earlier. We are really in a very lucky position. You can lose a coach through firing, getting hired away, or by retirement. This has to be the way that will keep the most momentum and Goodwill with the program and should help facilitate a smoother transition .

Coach Collins addressed this in his press conference. He’s going to observe practices, recruit and cheer the team on in Detroit.

Isn’t there a limit on the number of coaches you can have on staff?

Watch us get sanctioned by the NCAA...
Clemson at BDS appeared to have a coach for each player. They got a öööö ton of coaches

I hope CPJ offers insight on the recruits who have verbal commits to GT
He was meeting with recruiting staff this morning @ 6:30 am so it was going to be McCollum and others. I doubt very seriously CPJ would be part of that discussion.

CPJ coaches the Bowl Game while Coach Collins does everything else

Current staff basically auditioning to stay. I like it.

CPJ will lead the team and coach them. CGC will take over recruiting and generally try to stay out of CPJ's way until after the game.

Really liked CGC comment about meeting with the parents at the bowl game.

Agreed but the part I liked the most is something nobody has mentioned yet.
He talked about how fans were going to love watching how fun practice is. Which means we can once attend practices. Yeah, baby! :ughdance:
