How Geoff Collins became GT Head Coach

I guess they are keeping quiet on who else they interviewed beyond CGC and Whiz

Great article. Also Marvin Lewis is our associate AD? Outstanding.

He puts GPS locators on his players during practice?

I've heard Bama does this and has analysts evaluate it post practice. I don't know if GT has been doing this or if this something new to be implemented; but if Temple is doing it and we haven't been it shows you once again how far behind the curve GTAA is.

GPS? Didn't FSU outfit their players with undershirts that monitored everything from heart rate to oxygen uptake? I'd have to dig around to find it.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why the GTAA won’t leverage the school to develop technology. TStan should sponsor a senior design project or two every year. Have some IEs develop a statistical ‘oversigning’ strategy and solve the traveling salesman problem for recruiting. Get somebody to prototype some GOS/accelerometer wearables we can use to analyze movement, workload, etc.

This kind of thing has been going on for a while. I know TStan's set up 'sports innovations' conferences and the like.

And the CEs can figure out the butt sweat runoff coefficient for Adidas.

That sounds like a Chip Kelly thing, too. I recall he ruffled feathers in the pros demanding his players where a Fitbit/Apple watch 24/7 so he could monitor their sleep patterns.
