And that is how you get to the Quicklime Bowl.
P.S. Charley Strong on the hot seat. His players at Texas are on the rise. He and Willie Taggert's players in Tampa are on the slide. But they kicked our ass. Maybe Collins hires him as DC.

They won yeah. But 700 yards does not an ass kicking make.
This is my biggest complaint of the CPJ era. We lose a game we have no business losing and there is always a defense of “but 700 yards of offense so I’ll give it a pass.”

No. A loss is a loss and CPJ was hired and employed as Head Football Coach. It was his job to field a complete team. If he was merely offensive coordinator I could see it, but he was HFC.

It was a bad loss to a bad team.

Thank you Jesus

I couldn't agree more

It is gonna take a while to free our fanbase of IIWII-itis, a disease like that is hard for some fans to shake

TPR worked a miracle in that he was able to program an entire fanbase to stop looking at wins-losses and instead to look at "rushing yards"

This is also why I wanted Coach G to have the power to release commits from schollies and get the roster to his liking as soon as possible, the only thing that is going to silence TPR's acolytes is a 10 win season by Coach G ,and the sooner the uptick in recruiting the sooner it happens

Stay strong my fellow common-sense GT FB fan, better days are just around the corner

USF lost to Marshall in the St Pete Bowl 38-20. They are not quality. At least not the quality of your mom’s

It was a bad loss to an underwhelming team. A sign of things to come. Oh well, glad that's all behind us now.
And the way CPJ spoke about USF is that they were an exceptional team who we should not have scheduled.... This is why he is forced out.... plain and simple...

When did he call them an exceptional team?

Get the öööö over it, will ya?

Your biggest complaint has nothing to do with what I said. I plainly said we lost. No getting around that. Really derailed what could have been a great season. Just took exception to the OP saying we got our asses kicked.

Let's whine about it some more!

It was a bad loss to a mediocre team; but not an ass kicking.

USF was a special teams disaster. After the first near run back, we never should have kicked at that return man. But we did it two more times for 14 pts. Incredibly stupid.

ST were always a sore spot, just like defense.

Has there ever been a GT team since the 1960s, minus the 1990 undefeated team, that didnt have a bad loss though?
