This. Some people are more interested in crapping on CPJ on the way out than talking about the future. Some people just can’t not talk öööö about CPJ. RW92 is one of them. These guys obsession with him is weird.
LOL - plenty of Johnsonians have been bad-mouthing Gailey for over a decade but are now butt-hurt that their favorite ex-coach is being criticized.

Get over it, Chachi. He quit.

It was a bad loss, but they were a totally different team when we played them. They crumbled down the stretch, losing their last 6 in a row.

your obsession with ME is weird. I didn't start this thread nor am I the only one critical of the loss yet I'm the only one you seek out.
Suggestion: Put me on your Ignore list. And relax.

CGC hasn't had any bad losses...........yet.
Villanova says "Howdy!" (yes they have a football team....sort of)

Edit:
For you Defense fans Villanova had:

26 first downs
8-16 on third down
3-3 on fourth down
400+ yards of offense
29-40 comp/att
A Forbes - 111 yards rushing on 16 attempts

Oh, and they came back to win in the fourth quarter

Sound familiar? Villanova won one more game than Albany to keep from being last in the Colonial Division.

First team in history to open up 7-0 and end up 7-6. öööö the Green & Gold!

Up with the National Champs Black & Gold.

We whipped their ass in their first undefeated season and that’s saying something!

And if he didn’t “quit” you’d bash him for chasing the money and forcing us to fire him and pay him his full buyout.

I don’t give a öööö about Gailey. Those people are losers just like you.

This is my biggest complaint of the CPJ era. We lose a game we have no business losing and there is always a defense of “but 700 yards of offense so I’ll give it a pass.”

No. A loss is a loss and CPJ was hired and employed as Head Football Coach. It was his job to field a complete team. If he was merely offensive coordinator I could see it, but he was HFC.

It was a bad loss to a bad team.
Let me fix that for you....

This is my biggest complaint of the ______ era. We lose a game we have no business losing

I have seen that post/quote etc. applied to every GT coach since Curry. I still remember the Unc tie during our national champ season....here is the commentary on that game

On Oct. 20, 1990 at Kenan Stadium, Georgia Tech came into Chapel Hill ranked No. 11 and was a 13-point favorite to win the game. Instead, the Jackets had two fumbles and one interception that led to all of Carolina's 13 points. Georgia Tech led 10-3 at the half and outgained UNC in total yards 435-151.

UNC closed it to 10-6 on a field goal set up by an interception. The Tar Heels took the lead early in the fourth quarter after Willie Clay muffed a UNC punt and Reggie Clark recovered at Georgia Tech's 7-yard line. Two plays later, Natrone Means scored from five yards out with 13:18 to play, giving UNC the 13-10 lead.

On the following possession, the Jackets got to the 1-yard line, but on fourth and one, (Paul Johnson's favorite down and distance) UNC’s Eric Gash stopped Stefen Scotton short of the end zone. Three plays lost five yards, and Georgia Tech settled for a 27-yard field goal with 1:01 remaining.

Who ever said it was a quality loss? It's the one that turned quite a few people against CPJ for the first time.

Thank you Jesus

I couldn't agree more

It is gonna take a while to free our fanbase of IIWII-itis, a disease like that is hard for some fans to shake

TPR worked a miracle in that he was able to program an entire fanbase to stop looking at wins-losses and instead to look at "rushing yards"

This is also why I wanted Coach G to have the power to release commits from schollies and get the roster to his liking as soon as possible, the only thing that is going to silence TPR's acolytes is a 10 win season by Coach G ,and the sooner the uptick in recruiting the sooner it happens

Stay strong my fellow common-sense GT FB fan, better days are just around the corner
And that is how you get to the Quicklime Bowl.
P.S. Charley Strong on the hot seat. His players at Texas are on the rise. He and Willie Taggert's players in Tampa are on the slide. But they kicked our ass. Maybe Collins hires him as DC.

Perhaps instead of railing against USF, we should realize that Marshall is likely a better team than GT this season.

They certainly have a better pass rush.

The sad part is the same fans who scream loudest about any slight of the outgoing coach are the same ones who are quick to spread bile about another coach who has not been here for a decade, one who has never had a losing season here.

Hypocrites.

Who has said bad things about CGC other than some guy taking offense to how he dresses?

I'm still looking for when CPJ called USF an "exceptional" team
