Official Walk-On's Independence Bowl Game Thread

I think Collins is a defensive guy and more than likely has a huge part of the way they play defense. I think collins not there to make defensive adjustments is a HUGE loss. look at Miss St in 14.
Could be the case, Miss St. game does validate that point some. Would be preferrable in fact, I think, other than paying a d coordinator who is not really doing much coordinating.
Those same defensive coaches coached against USF under Collins, and did a much better job than our defense did. What was our excuse?
They've coached with the interim several years, its not like he's totally new to them or running different schemes from what they have all season.

USF was our 2nd game under a new d coordinator running a totally different scheme than the previous d coordinator, and at least two of the TD given up in that game were not the defense's fault.

So if I'm reading this right, it's almost like you're saying that we shouldn't put lots of stock in single-game samples under extenuating circumstances...

I think that you hope that Tech fails. You’re a terrible fan.
Then you think wrong. I hope Tech wins every game we play from now until college football no longer exists, but I'm not going to snort fairy dust out of Geoff Collins or his staff's asshole any more than I did Paul's or Chan's. I'm going to be critical when we play poorly and elated when we win, same as I was with CPJ and Gailey.

If I were to hire an employee and thought they were a good fit for the job, but between the time they accepted their offer and started employment I saw evidence that perhaps they aren't going to be good at their job, it would raise suspicions for me. Would that not be the case for you?

Come one ....you can’t base your decision on one game. He knows those guys very well and how good of coaches they are. He has worked with them for very long. He either believes in them or he doesn’t. The Duke coach is as good as they come. Not a crime being out coached by him

Temple clearly has less talent than duke.. do they have a recruiting problem?
