I have some more coaching news

No. He's Geoff Collins.
No, he's Jeff Collins, office manager at the campus Starbucks. He hears things. He got coffee for Geoff Collins, but Geoff had him write "Brent Key" on the cup. He then pointed at Jeff, put his finger to his lips, and softly went "Shhhhhh...."

Btw, I don't know shish, don't subscribe to pay sites. Just seems to be a lot of smoke around certain names.

Is Caralla from Temple?

Most recently Buffalo.

In his lone season as the head football strength and conditioning coach at Buffalo, Caralla helped turn around a team that went 8-16 over the previous two years into a squad that won the MAC East Division championship and earned the program’s first bowl berth since 2013 (and third all-time).

Prior to spending 2018 at Buffalo, Caralla was director of strength and conditioning at Louisiana-Lafayette (2016-17) and North Texas (2015). His career also includes stints as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Michigan (2012-14), Mississippi State (2011) and Georgia Tech (2010-11), a graduate assistant at Mississippi State (2009-10) and an intern at Virginia (2008) and South Florida (2007). During his one season as a full-time assistant at Mississippi State in 2011, he worked on the Bulldogs’ football staff with Collins, who was MSU’s co-defensive coordinator.

I knew about Collins being hired the day PJ announced he was retiring. ... I’m not sure the GT writers even knew Collins was a possibility.
I actively avoid inside knowledge or any claims to it... but I don't follow you here.

Collins was known as a potential candidate for a while. He's made no secret about his aspirations, and being from here and coaching here before, plus having success as a DC and HC, made it obvious he was one of the potential candidates.

And if you're telling me that TStan had already decided on CGC the day CPJ retired... then there's been a lot of lying going on. I would be very surprised if that were true.

I doubt he has very good info. I don’t think he knows Collins much at all. I knew about Collins being hired the day PJ announced he was retiring. I knew about Choice the same day. I’m not sure the GT writers even knew Collins was a possibility.

33 Jacket here knows more than me at this point. And more than any of the other “professionals.”
So you knew Collins was hired before we even interviewed Whisenhunt?

New S&C coach is huge

Dave Pasanella, God rest his soul, was huge. I think this new guy is smaller than me. Dave and Lee Haney judged the 'Mr. Georgia Tech' contest back in the day. Standing next to one another Dave made "Big Lee" look small.

This team has had negative intensity for several years now. PJ has never been one to provide that. I am excited to see what Geoff Collins and his staff can do in that department and I expect significant and visible results in the “want to” department.

There was something about the way the whole thing developed that made me feel like CGC was somehow in the works before CPJ announced his retirement. I've wondered if Geo. O'Lea was maybe involved before hand and talking to "parties" on both sides.

As long as the punches to the opponent’s QB’s head don’t cost us games, I welcome them.
