First of all, does it matter?

I can find 37 people listed on our staff page for football, all the way down to the admins.

Similar page for Clemson shows 55 people. A couple of years ago an article claimed Notre Dame had the largest football staff at 44 people.

Again does it matter? Are we doing enough to be competitive?

I was wondering what the allowable limit was, if any. Also how does this compare to the staffs of recent years.

When Clemson visited BDS this past season, as they were warming up, they seemed to have a coach or trainer for every player on the field. Clemson is spending money in buckets.

55 coaches for an 85 man roster (or whatever it is) is pretty ridiculous. They should cap it at 25-30.

Schools just simply don’t have any money to pay student athletes.

Now let me introduce you to to our new assistant director of kick off return quality and our associate director of bench warming operations. Welcome aboard!

It’s not the job of the school to pay athletes. That’s what car dealer boosters are for.

Yes, the amount of staff matters. Gotta do the best we can with what we’ve got. I believe CGC is working nonstop on recruiting. It may be because he enjoys it, but it’s also because he has to.

Folks like Bama and Clemson can hire a few guys that focus simply on Xs and Os. Everyone CGC hired has a reputation of being a great recruiter.

For the past few years I have noticed that on kickoffs our kicker has had to trot back down the field and retrieve his kicking tee. Hopefully this will change and we will have a kickoff tee retriever coordinator -can’t have our kicker tripping or pulling something bending over to grab a damn tee.
