Waffle House backing GT

smooooooooth

weird that they would let that kind of raw video onto the website. pretty funny stuff, though.

I was guessing that they didn't realize that he was intentionally doing product placement.

Is it just me, or does it sound like CGC says, "Georda Tech" most of the time?

UGA is butthurt over the GT Waffle House alliance. Don't worry, dwags, you can still claim Walmart & Dollar General as your safe space

Hurr durrrr....we do nothing but copy other teams traditions. We stole our mascot. Our song is unoriginal. We now do the flashlight phone thing like Big 10 Iowa does. We even do "To Hell with Georgia Tech" in our fight song because or reasons. Hey, let's get Kirby to look like a moron by copying Geoff Collins and his love for Waffle House. Let's look as pathetic as possible.

The Waffle House in Athens is hidden away down the hill from The Georgia Theater. Hardly an icon of Athens. If Kirby really wanted to do a unique to Athens thing, he'd have a "give a shower to one of the nasty, unbathed, wait staff or bartenders working in Athens". Do any of those kids down there ever damn shower?

The thing is that I've never lived in the rural South. All my experience is in metro Atlanta. There are too many good options in Atlanta.

Yes. I walked the Hill to 8am classes. It was uphill both ways. In 3 feet of snow. And wore newspaper on our feet because we didn't have shoes. And we had no girls on campus. And I got a 7 out of 100 on my Calculus test, which was fine because the class average was 6. And 90% of students failed Physics II. And 100% of students lost HOPE in their first week on campus. And we had to watch Chan Gailey football. Kids these days don't know how good they have it.

Junior's was behind Tech Tower, wasn't it?

You had newspaper? Luxury!

Juniors Grill on the left, North Ave - across from Smith, circa 1982.

Wow that brings back memories. My freshman year was 1984 and I lived in Smith that year.

The best part was before as he interrupted the interview, picked up the cup, looked at it, turned it so that the WH logo was facing out, then continued.
Like when Saban told reporters to ask the Coca Cola bottle that day.

Thanks for the tip on Fall Creek Falls, which somehow I was unfamiliar with. I take it the water is dam-controlled? Any idea when the best time to go is?

Great park. Family has a family reunion there every year. Well, went elsewhere last year and this upcoming summer due to complete rebuild of the lodge there. Really cool park to get out and explore. I have only been in June, so not sure of best time of year, but it's often hot as balls at that time of summer. Water feels great, but that also brings the crowds.

Go in August once most schools are back in session. Like having your own private park. We had the cascades next to the nature center to ourselves. Plus, the water flow slows a bit for late summer so the water has a chance to warm up a bit.
