So far I've been to NFL, college and high school games in the Heinous Anus and it is just flat out an awful place to watch a football game on a variety of levels. BDS can be magical. MBS is öööö. öööö that. Parking, tailgating etc... all of it is worse. The actual game experience sucks, there are scant few places to see in game stats but there is no shortage of advertising. It's probably the worst stadium I've been to in this regard. No thanks.
I hate, hate, HATE MB STADIUM. The video board is stupid, a gimmick. Video boards need to be like at Carolina Panthers stadium. Huge boards at each end of the stadium. Acoustics at MB suck. Walk areas suck. The roof is like if you bought a car with a sunroof and called it a convertible. Plus, it looks like 75% of the building is roof and roof structure. The stadium bowl is unremarkable.

You ain't never been there. You thought you were there, but took a wrong turn on 10th St and ended up at Grady High School.

Interested to see how CGC spins this if it's true
He can öööö off if we lose a Clemson home game.

Isn't this what Alabama wanted several years ago and we told them to pound sand? A game at the Dome and a game at Tuscaloosa?

I doubt CGC has taken charge of all athletic decisions in his first two months on the job.

Put me in the category of waiting to see the details. The exposure could be huge with this. We need the money, but, even more, we need the exposure right now. If CGC knows anything, it's exposure recruits players.

Then again it could also suck major donkey balls. Tune in for the presser tomorrow to find out.

Yeah its not like we are the ones funding the program and buying the tickets.
What is your point? It's the AD's job to sell these sorts of moves to the fans. Any spin CGC gives will be directed to recruits, selling them on getting to play the occasional prime time game at MBS. I doubt any of them give a öööö about egress problems, complaints about acoustics, etc.

I personally think it's a good idea, and I'm guessing that cgc was the instigator in it. It's another piece in the 404 puzzle.

There will be some recruits that will respond stronger to a recruiting visit to the dome than bds. They will get to tour the falcons locker room and it will reinforce the preparing for the NFL story cgc is trying to sell. And telling recruits they will get to play one game a year in that stadium will sell well, I believe.

Also, let's face it, we are not currently the sexiest game in town. Local kids and potential sidewalk fans that are also falcon fans may like the idea of seeing a relatively cheap game there, and we may build the brand. If we actually make more money than from a standard bds home game that is also an added plus.

I think all of the potential positives outweigh my personal preference of games at bds

Yes. The first 5 minutes once you walk in are kinda cool, then you realize you can’t hear either band, or the P.A. Just a bunch of echoes. Seats are the cheapest recycled soda bottle plastic bs you can imagine. Video board is dumb.

Clearly in minority here, but this is gonna look hype to every single non-GT fan. Non-GT fans don't care about BDS but they all know about the new Dome. This locks us in on 404 theme and ATL. The only other thing non-GT fans know about GT was option football and to hate it. This is a platform. However, moving forward when the ship is full sail, we should still get our 6 at BDS, plus 1 at the Dome. Exposure. Extra home game.

I know this is approaching TL;DR, but last season, UF left the state of Florida for 4 games. Those years we go to the ööööhole, we could have 6 BDS, 1 Dome, and 1 ööööhole. Just 4 long travel games.

Just speculating, but I doubt CPJ was looking to play games at MBS.
No. Quinlan mentioned that CPJ didn't like it when asked about the possibility last year. Stuff like this is the AD's call, though. Suguira has an article up saying we basically need the money.

I would be dead set against this. Playing our games on campus matters. If we need extra cash from a decision like this to survive, we are not looking at a very bright future.

How do you make money in the dome? Wouldn’t you pay to rent it and then have to split the ticket money with the other team?

What these guys said.

Y'all are out of touch if you don't think this plays well with our branding efforts. This will sell extremely well to HS recruits. With a seven game home schedule, it's a no brainer. I would prefer not Clemson unless it becomes permanent, but the benefits outweigh the concerns.
