Ga Tech hotel

I ended up with that hotel for a game last year through Priceline or some other blind purchase site.

We pulled up and it was a complete öööö show in the valet area - I think a music video was being filmed - so we drove to the back of the hotel where prostitutes were walking in.

After one second of explanation, the webpage refunded the room and booked me elsewhere.
Yeah but was there a 5k blocking access?

I know it looks nice and all, but, knowing how disgusting it was before they renovated it, I don't think I can ever stay there. I got bedbugs just writing this post.

No problems with the lounge. I give them a visit down there in the basement about once a month or so.

The roof top bar when the weather is right as well as Tiny Lou's are great spots, but I agree, I would not be spending the night there.

Crowne Plaza on the Corner if North and Spring $171 a night that weekend.

Despite other posters’ experiences there, we stayed there twice last season (once for adult game and once for hardcourt COFH), it’s not bad. They do have a GT rate as well. It’s obv not a brand new hotel or anything.

Edited to say that my ONLY complaint are the qty of towels and cups/glasses in the room. We stayed in a double both times (kids with us) and the rooms were supplied as if for two. Perhaps that’s std or perhaps I’m not making my resv right

It’s actually a nice boutique hotel. My wife and I had a lovely stay there a few weeks ago as part of a brief staycation. Tiny Lou’s has good food, the bar is pretty solid, and I had no complaints about the room. The only odd bit, which you should expect, is that because the Lounge still operates in the basement, the smell of stank and cigarettes floats up the stairwell on the lower levels.

ETA: Pussy.

I'm renting a room out for that weekend at Akinji's Palace of Leisure. Rate is 500 dollars a night and our hotel is not responsible for what happens to you sexually during the night.

I hear things like this, but I almost did some of the restoration work in there and I saw first hand the mess and I think I'm just scarred for life. I'll always frequent the lounge and every once in a while the roof, but there's no chance I'll ever stay in any of the rooms.

Absolutely. There's not enough bleach or industrial grade peroxide on the planet to clean what was there. Unless they knocked it to the ground, dug a 75 foot deep hole where it was and started over, no way in hell I'd stay in a room there overnight without a hazmat suit and self contained ventilator.
