2020 Recruiting

Compared to ATL, of course. But the downtown area is not too bad imo. The river walk is decent and the greenway is nice. Its definitely better than Duluth or Buford.
Don't forget the women's basketball hall of fame!

True story. I took my daughter to Neyland for a game years ago. She was probably around 14. During the game, at least at that time, Tennessee often liked to play country music during timeouts. My daughter looked distressed, thinking all teams played hip hop stuff like GT. I remember her confusingly giving me a "WTF?" look during "Cotton Eyed Joe".

Tennessee's fall over the last decade + had a bit to do with not spending money on sports infrastructure for years and having a culture problem

That said, Knoxville looks like a city stuck in the 1970's. Really a meh city, especially when compared to fast paced, shiny, modern Atlanta
Nothing wrong with K-town at all, especially if you like a little slower pace to life and friendly people. I've personally had enough of Dallas and Atlanta and wouldn't mind to stay here for a good long time. Only 3 hours to Atlanta so its easy to have a football or cultural weekend any time.

I can actually be to Knoxville from my house faster than I can be to Athens. I have attended a ton of UT games in my life.

Nothing wrong with downtown Knoxville, I like it, but come on, when it comes to picking the best location for your life both during/after college, the two don't compare. Knoxville is where you go to try and relax or retire, not where you go to launch a career.

Some of us are at the relax stage of our careers if not the retire stage just yet.

I prefer the South Pittsburgh area near Mounteagle.

Speaking of which, the Cornbread Festival is this weekend, I think. Go early Saturday. It gets packed

All things considered I'd like to be closer to the beach. Does Beestorm have a bonus room above the garage?

Sounds like there will be attrition after Spring and/or next season:

That's a given after every spring, especially with a new coach. I would imagine ABs that don't have a great position now as well as some OL that don't fit the new scheme will look elsewhere.

Well yeah, I know it's a given but sounds like KQ may in fact know some names.

Dummy me didn't realize those 247 ratings crossed years. Thanks!

How about over-all national ranking in a given year?

Rivals has him at #35.
247 has him at #101.

Looks like Calvin on Rivals was #37.
247 doesn't have one for him.
