He could still easily go to Alabama, the buyout is very low -- if he is Alabama's top candidate after Saban retires they will not even blink at throwing in another 5 million to cover the buyout.

I get that Bama is Dabo’s alma mater but I really think he is all in and in love with Clemson. Plus, he is huge on keeping his staff intact. That’s a lot of additional buyouts and reshuffling. TBH I think Clemson is better than Bama right now. Saban redesigned how college football works but Dabo took it to the next level.

I don’t think Clemson is on another level from Bama. It is the same level. Only Dabo hasn’t shown he can overcome staff turnover.

Why would Dabo go to 'bama other than big full guaranteed $ like Jimbo Fisher, he has nothing to gain and lots to lose. I'm guessing he retires at Clemson, all IMO of course and I've been wrong before.

Saban won't retire for at least a few years. I don't think that any move for Dabo is imminent, but he is a relatively young guy and we shouldn't underestimate the lure of coaching at your alma mater.

I would not be surprised if he ends up at Bama at some point.

He lost the guy that is now HC at Arkansas. But you’re right in that he isn’t doing whole staff changes like Alabama has every year.
