How many real university students actually work during college anymore?
Maybe your "anymore" qualifier is valid for some, but I was a full-time grad student, worked as a GA and worked a second shift job during my last year at GT. Did that for over a year before I burned out. Not fun, but necessary to pay for school and living expenses.

A lot? I worked 30-50+ hrs/week almost the entire time I was at Tech, and had lots of friends who did too.

Same here.
Well I worked 25-40 hours a week. Took 4.5 years to "get out."
Some of you had it made with mommy/daddy/sugar daddy/ student loans (which some now complain about) to get through. Some got through with limited or no student loan debt because we worked. Kind of like what a STUDENT Athlete does, except we didn't get tutors, "assistance" and the like.

I drank 20-30 hours a week, studied 5 hours, went to less than 50% of classes. Co-op paid off loans, rent, and booze/food, had a scholly for tuition and books. I ended up starting a RothIRA while in college. Graduated with high honors, Mechanical Engineering. Stop whining.
I like your attitude!
