#13- Jahmyr Gibbs - RB 5.7 3*

Great balance. Great acceleration. Good vision, but highlight videos sometimes mask issues with this. Always had the ball in the correct hand. Looked natural catching. Definite return potential.

Didn't see any pass pro, cuz too bz scoring TD's and it is highlights after all. Would like to see some of those sharp cuts out in patterns. Some of those Thurman Thomas type spins deep into the backfield will get him in trouble on the next level.

He can help us in many ways.

The only time this kid’s head moves is when he’s looking left or right. Very steady RB flying down the field. Really liked his highlight vid

Purdue and Missouri also offered. I’m assuming he’s a redshirt candidate with all the running backs CPJ left us.

As an old Catamount, it's really great to see one finally, especially a RB, break the Tennessee/UGag/Awbie chains & look to head down I-75.

He's had some really good coaches (even if they did play at Tennessee/UGag/Awbie/NCState) there & let's hope he signs come December. IIRC, he will be the first back out of DHS to come to Tech since Joe Bill Faith in 1966 & the first DHS player since Eric Bearden about 35 years ago. Maybe Greg Ellis in 1988 or Josh McElroy in 1995 are exceptions, but IIRC they were walkons.

For those keeping score at home, there have been several from the county directional & neighboring county schools, but the first in a long, long time from Dalton HS.

Luke Johns not DHS? I can't remember the other schools in the Dalton area.

Looks so smooth running the ball in his video and a decisive one cut and go guy on the edge. And I really love that he’s split out some at WR. A guy like that who you can motion out of the backfield and isolate with a LB in a pass pattern is a matchup nightmare. Tech can do some high level pro-style scheming with a guy like this.
