New CBS Article on Collins

I particularly liked:

CBS Sports said:
Patrick Suddes has been one of the most sought after college football staffers in the country. At Alabama, he was associate director of football operations. Mack Brown did hand stands when he was able to lure him to Texas in 2013 as director of player personnel.

Suddes is now Georgia Tech's general manager. With Collins, that makes him in charge of recruiting and roster management.

You begin to realize, then, that it's somewhat less important that tight ends and slot receivers are in short supply. Johnson didn't use them. Collins and Suddes will eventually find and develop them.

I'm all in on the GT branding and fund raising. Bet he doesn't drink another Diet Mt Dew by the blue boys when the Coke folks paid for the indoor practice field among a bunch of other things.

I like the article but hate they posted an accompanying video with Kirby Smart. What the heck man...
CBS Sports website is such a PITA. I think their content is good. I still go there but I have to remember to hit mute before I do. Every article you pull up auto launches a video that may or may not be related to what you are reading. Or trying to read.

Coach Collins is performing as well as anyone could possibly hope for off-the-field. If he gets similar results on the field, I think we will be playing Clemson 2-3 times a year.

Clemson won't go to the playoffs with 2 losses.
