Over the next six years there are currently 13 college football games scheduled to be played in Atlanta's state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz stadium. 12 of those 13 games involve at least one ACC team - more than any other conference, including the SEC. It would be good if the ACC can "take back" Atlanta to a greater extent by winning the majority of the games in the 404...

Duke vs Alabama
lol, Duke's going to lose by 90.

Florida State vs. West Virginia
Any FSU team under any prior FSU coach would win this game easily. ACC 0-2 so far.

Georgia vs Virginia
Nope.

Auburn vs North Carolina
Maybe, but nope. 0-4.

Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech
Does Notre Dame count as ACC? For this exercise I'll say "no". 1-4

Louisville vs Ole Miss
2-4

Miami vs Alabama
This could be really good, but probably won't. 2-5

TBD vs Georgia Tech
We're going to curb stomp TBD. 3-5.

Oregon vs Georgia
No ACC team. I'll be wearing my Nikes though.

Clemson vs Georgia Tech
4-6

TBD vs Georgia Tech
TBD should stop showing up. 5-6

Clemson vs Georgia
6-6

Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech
7-6

It is a daunting task for the conference, but the opportunity is there. Lots could change in just a few years to close the present gap.

Feels like the highs and lows of a GT football season circa 2003-2018

The problem is the ACC keeps trotting out our lowest teams against the best SEC teams. Let's be real, barring Clemson, who in the ACC would actually stand a chance against Alabama the first week of the season?

FSU devolved. Bowden in his prime, Bowden past his prime, Jimbo, Jimbo doesn't give a öööö, Taggert.

I'd say the problem is more that Clemson is the only team in the ACC right now that's playing on the same level as the top handful of SEC teams. If there were a conference challenge with matchups based on perceived conference ranking, what are we looking at? Miami vs. UGA? NC State vs. Florida? UVA vs. LSU?

Who in the SEC is anywhere near Bama's level? It's not exactly evenhanded to let Bama drag the entire SEC to preseason glory but then call Clemson an outlier.

Wasn't what I was saying at all. I'm talking about ACC vs. the SEC, not just vs. Bama. Clemson could play Bama and beat them like a rag doll again, but wins vs. the rest of the top half of the SEC look hard to come by based on the current landscape of the ACC.

I cannot believe that someone, somewhere, thought Duke vs Alabama would be a good matchup worthy of a kickoff classic - unless Saban scheduled it.

Not sure, but I think this is part of a 3 or 4 game deal between the 2.

I have an upset stomach saying this but UGA is an elite team now. TAMU is up and coming and gives Jimbo whatever he wants, keeping him interested. LSU will always have LSU level athletes. UF is rising like a rocket under Mullins. Auburn can beat Bama every other year or three.

ACC has added Collins, Brown, Satterfield, and Diaz. Taggert and Fuente look weak. Overall it looks like the coaching is going downhill.

Remember when Alabama wanted us to play at Tuscaloosa away and the Georgia Dome here, splitting Tix 50/50 for the Dome? We told them öööö off. Good times.
