#18 WDE - Khaya Wright

Has a good many offers. From the likes of Nebraska, Miami, UVa, etc.

I wouldn't consider those good offers.

I actually agree with you. I don’t look for those schools as measuring sticks for comparing offer sheets. But I do think this one will pick up some better ones before NSD. I have him above all the other DE/OLB we have committed from a pass-rushing perspective (what we desperately need).

He’s the first one we’ve gotten that I’ve felt was noticeably underrated for what I’m seeing on film.

All the cruits we get are underrated. We got so many diamonds in the rough we got a diamond box.

Concur with the Philip Wheeler comparison ... this kid is pretty fast!

Hmm. Not sure if yall are saying he reminds you Wheeler because of his play or because he has dreads...

Because of how he uses his hands and stays on his feet, cat like. Wheeler used to flow through all the blocking - diving and spinning and staying balanced. This kid looks similar.

It may not be a good comparison but Mr. Wright reminds me of Michael Johnson (before Michael got big): fast, athletic and nearly impossible to block. I forget how tall Johnson was so that might be an exception to the comparison.

We have a few guys underrated in this class that athletically blew camps up. Hopefully they can play football too

He reminds me of Marlon Williams, but I am sure by the end of his time on campus he will remind me of Khaya Wright.
