“Gibbs scored on runs of 6, 58, 55, 54, 5, 29, 1 and 1 yard. He had an 83-yard touchdown run called back in a possession that did not result in a score for the Catamounts.“

“For Gibbs, the explosive opener has created quite the buzz, and he said he is still open to any team until signing day as he has a trip to LSU in a couple of weeks.”

So essentially he isn't a commit.

404 confirmed.

Anybody who didn't think its gonna be a battle for this kid till he signs was delusional.
The flaky character of situations like this makes me hate recruiting. I agree with Paul Johnson that commits should be sign-able.

Exactly. And LSU? A university that has academics and finances in shambles? That should be a "I laughed and hung up" quote. LSU is a öööö university

True.

But I like that CGC plays in the system that exists and not the one he wants. I think that will lead to overall better results.
You are correct. What I like most about CGC is his ability to not show anger or distain for this type of situation with recruits. He knows he cant do anything about it so he shrugs his shoulders and keeps pitching the 404 and Atlanta. His type of attitude is what keeps kids at the school.

Loved Paul but his attitude was negative at times and while I agreed with him it’s better to sell to kids instead of shaming.

No coach or system of recruiting ever gets every player they want. You just need to be in the game to start with to get as many good ones as you can.

Kids a baller! We will need to keep showing him the love. The top guys will continue to get recruited by other programs until they sign on the dotted line.

Should be a 4 star next update. Accept early commitments from players who are gonna blow up and you'll have to fight to hang on to them.

It's important to have a solid season so we can hold on to recruits like this. Give CGC and CTC some wins and watch them work their magic on the recruiting trail.

They are signing great players.

“Academics and finances in shambles” means not one damn thing as regards the top factors of a 17 - 18 y.o. football recruit right now.

As regards commits, if we are getting commits from good S/As others will be after them until signed. Just as we will be after theirs.

The days of getting commits over schools like gsu, uab , tulane, Elon, and others then sitting back and proclaiming “well that is done” are over.

Kids should be able to sign whenever they want, but that damn signature is binding - for at least the first year. I can see why some kids would do it. I can see why some kids wouldn’t.

Bullshit. There are a lot of recruits who consider LSU a junk school. Disappointed Gibbs doesn't
