Alternatively, I would love to see the return of one of my favorite plays. Quick handoff to the FB out of the I. I love seeing LBs sidestep the FB thinking he is coming to block.

‘Triple’ option. If TE uncovered, pass and OT goes for ILB. If TE is covered, OT still goes after LB, TE goes wide to block. QB and RB go wide, DE takes QB then pitch. DE turns out QB cuts up field behind OT on option side.
Is TE short for TEvin Washington? I like it.

Delay of game penalty when the "line up in TO formation and draw 'em offsides" ploy fails.

Wonder if they'll line up for the TO and then shift like they did in the first play of the spring game as an homage.
I don’t think so. That was a classy tribute for Paul Johnson to appease diehard CPJ fans amongst us Tech fans. This is the national stage where Collins has to show everyone we’re not running the TO anymore.

WildJacket with TO for 15...then LJ/JG completes an open pass to AB for 60 and a touchdown.

It’d be cooler if we ran an actual 3O play out of it just to mess with Dabo/Venables. I always wanted CPJ to run one play out of the shotgun to start a game. Never happened :(
I'm fairly sure this did happen circa 2012-2014

One aspect of this offense i'm not excited about is the inevitable shotgun hand-offs that get stuffed at the line immediately. This is my prediction for the first play. I hate running out of the shotgun.

Do we really need to pay any more homage to a .580 winning percentage?

I think it sends a ööööty message. This isn’t about feelings and we don’t need to waste a play in a game we are trying to win trying to satisfy the Johnsonians one last time.

A run. CPJ’s first play was a pass because everyone had been saying all we’d do is run all off season.

Generally a lot of teams throw a bomb on the first play, or at least run 2 WR deep and end up checking down. I think that will be our second play

PJ loved trickeration on the first play but not always.

Sometimes we decided to just Team Ramrod it thru the others teams throat. Kansas 2010 style
