First offensive play prediction(s)

Dabo said he's expected GT to run it at right his young DL and test them early. I don't know if we'll do it first play, but I kind of agree that we will need to punch them in the mouth and see how they like it.

Clemson is HIGHLY talented and athletic...but they did just lose 3 first round DLinemen. To beat a team like Clemson with our current roster, then we will need to establish some semblance of a downhill run game. I expect a heavy dose of read option looks where the QB keeps (essentially a midline-like play). Let these athletes run and just rotate QBs as needed to stay fresh.
 
Shotgun with one back and a run off-tackle to the strong side.

Not the sexy pick, but Clemson will be expecting the sexy pick (i.e. a pass).

First play I’m expecting a toss to the wide side of the field with pulling linemen in space, maybe three of em.

Positive yardage would be nice on play one, i’m thinking zone read- qb or rb run

Running game coordinator, Brent Key, should be familiar with Venables' defense. I think our first series will be scripted and successful.

The play series we used to call it was called Taxi, Truck, and Plane- each with its own little variation

Our guys can block well both in the phone booth and in space. It’s what they do best. There will be hesitation on the first play of the game. They might over commit on the first play of the game.

Further, we have film on what they’re going to run. They have no idea what we are going to run. The best way to attack with what we got IMO is to hit ‘em on the edge bringing our fast linemen from the other side.

I like the flea flicker idea now that I think about it with our different RBs. Maybe we line up with QBs in some different skilled positions.
