i actually expected this outcome tonight.. honestly, I didn’t think it was going to be this bad but whatever. Having said that, because of this experience.. I feel we can hang tough with any team in the ACC. This Clemson team beat the crap out of Alabama

I think we can do damage with other ACC teams. Our offense sucks, especially OLine but the play calling has to get better

Hate to say this, but not really all that disappointed. Prove me wrong
The defense honestly wasn’t too bad. They got a little demoralized with the red zone turnovers and quick three and outs, but we have some dudes on that side of the ball.

It looks like Graham should probably be the starter going forward, but that was against second and third string, so who the hell knows. Brown needs to learn to get upfield and knock it off with the east-west BS on kick returns. Quit dancing and get upfield.

If the offensive can improve we will be fine in the coastal. We wont be facing defending national champions every week folks.

I’m not really disappointed at all. They played hard, with effort and in a very difficult environment against the best team in the country. When you look at our schedule, every team we play is very beatable with UGA being a toss up.

I am disappointed. This could have been worse. Lawrence was off. He had zero pressure on him.
They racked up 400 yards rushing on us. Our kickoff return looked like it had regressed. And we had a lot of kickoff returns tonight.
We played hard, sure. But we're supposed to.
We're not going to surprise anybody with our schemes and play calling. They don't have to spend extra time in practice to get ready for us anymore.
Unless Brown can break off a handful of big plays every game. But he's about to be a marked man.

Virginia and Miami are pretty good on defense. We faced four of the top 20 Ds last year, in terms of yards allowed - Clemson, Miami, Virginia and Georgia. And none of those guys are taking much of a step back. Plus, Pitt is usually good on D and VA Tech was really young last year
We better get better and a lot better. Fast.

God bless America I wish we had GC’s defense and PJ’s offense. Our D held them to 3 and out on the first drive. Forget the fumble, would’ve never happened with GC and PJ at the helm. Our O would’ve gone on an 8 minute td march. First quarter would’ve been over with GT up 7-0.

You don't get brownie points for playing hard, sure. You also don't get them just because your opposition practiced more for your offense.

Pass rush is an issue that isn't going away until we upgrade the talent of d-line, so it will be a persistent problem this season.

How many returnable kickoffs did we field? 3?

and looked bad on all of them.
we all knew d line was an issue and maybe the biggest one going into the season. but even when we brought extra, Lawrence had enough time to take a differential equations final.

We haven't surprised anyone with schemes nor play-calling in years. It's a false narrative to pretend we were still out-scheming or fooling anyone.

Gotta get Graham in there. No more TO at QB unless it's in injury relief or mop-up duty.

And apparently Lucas Johnson is our #3 QB. He wasn't able to beat out Taquon nor win over CGC.

Disappointed. Hardly anything positive at the team level from that game.

Defense performed worse, offense performed worse, ST performed worse

That was a golden opportunity for us to do better than expected in Collins' first game and get good press. Nope!

It was hard to beat out Taquon with a broken foot.

Might as well forfeit rest of the games and just have reruns of usf game from last year come game time in lil over a week.

And, you being from Iowa, perhaps we should have done better in orange bowl when we had a better roster returning than what we did tonight.

I was a little disappointed in special teams play. The returners did nothing, which means their blockers probably didn’t block. And King’s kicks didn’t make it to the goal line. Clemson’s kicker was kicking field goals on his kick offs.
