I always enjoy these. Coach Thacker cracking me up calling our players human beings.....like they would be something else. They provide good insights into how they perceived the Clemson game and generally what they were trying to accomplish against those guys from a scheme perspective.

Are the 404 Culture Man's arms covered in ugly tattoos or something? Never seen CGC in a short sleeve shirt. Seems odd to always wear long sleeves throughout the summer in Atlanta.

Yes, he grew up in the Aryan Nation. It's a Conyers thing. It's a lot harder to recruit with swastika sleeves.

Track marks. It's how he takes his Juice.

Maybe it's for sun protection being outside all day.

Maybe for using as much branding real estate as possible.

Maybe the press conferences are held cold rooms.

Maybe attack dogs are backstage and trained to go for exposed wrists.

I'm just kidding, he's not in the Aryan Nation. But he does have arm AIDS.

Surprisingly, I thought CPJ's post- and pre- game press conferences shared much more detail. CGC continually stays on branding and marketing messaging. I have no opinion - only commenting how I perceive the differences.

Patenaude's offensive philosophy (call plays and morph based on what your players do well) plays well in the press.

I really like Thacker. I just have that feeling, while listening to him, he's going to be hard, really hard to hold onto long term. He's got HC material plastered all over him.

My all time favorite PJ post anything comment was from his time at Southern, before everything was videoed.
“What happened on the blocked punt, coach?”
“We just ööööing turned a guy loose.”

Any USF week video from the USF side?

+1 on all this. As much bad press as CPJ got, you could generally read between the lines at his pressers a little better than you can CGC's. And I don't know if Thacker has a HC job in his future, but he's the most articulate coach we've had around for a while.

Luckily, Thacker is super young (34). If he gets a HC offer by 40, probably means he and Collins will have built a defensive juggernaut. Nice also that he is a local, so he probably wouldn't leave us for a lateral move.

I like Thacker... CGC can and should stay on message, it helps with the psychology that keeps the press from putting him on the defensive. Give an inch and they'll run you out of town. CPJ's press conferences may have been more enlightening, but he wasn't in control of the message, just answering questions.

Well, Patenaude and Thacker are also wearing jackets, so I am guessing cold rooms is accurate.

I think it's a sun exposure thing. All the assistants had on long sleeves and most wore long pants at the practice prior to Fan Day. Brent Key even had this neck covering that went up and over his head clearly designed to protect his neck from the sun.

Compelling argument. I'll modify my personal list to rank that as second most likely behind attack dogs

I’ll be wearing a hoodie, gloves, ski mask, and jeans in the lower-upper east this weekend for prime sun protection.
