He misjudged the ball in the air, causing the muff

Then he proceeded to take bad angles to their RB for the rest of the game

Going in I would have thought #1(on Defense) would've been a strength, but he ended up being a huge liability

I hope he plays better, I hope this isn't a Soph Slump
It’s seems like a classic soph slump unfortunately.

I've always thought but the punt catcher had to be one of the more Fearless people on the team

You’re making that call after one game against #1? Typically the term sophomore slump is used to describe a season of work, not a game. Give the kid a chance why don’t you?

4th down at uga. I've never watched video of it to this day. Unfortunately the vivid memory from the lower north stands is burned into my mind.
If Steven Hill makes that tough catch....we win.

If we did not have the three turnovers in the 20 yd line of their end zone.. I think we could have hung with them. Like maybe a 31 - 14 type game.

Think about how nervous our guys had to have been walking into that crazy ass stadium at night

all that momentum three and out on the national champs and a fumbled punt return. Good grief.
It’s called pressure and trying too hard. No way he drops that kick if we’re playing The Citadel and he’s playing loose. Anyone who has ever competed in any sport can relate.

I sit right on the 20 yard line and remember that drop like it was yesterday. It happens.

Never even should have happened. We were destroying them on the run the last few drives, including a few good runs on that drive. PJ pussied out. Straight öööö the bed and started calling long pass plays. We got the ball at the 3:03 left at our 37.

We get the ball to their territory, with about 2 min left. And what do we do? We call 4 straight passes when we had time and time outs.

God, ALL of this^. Thanks for the ööööty flashback. I remember screaming "GIVE THE GODDAMN BALL TO DWYER!" as JFN threw 4 ICs to end it. Worst loss of his regime.

then the mutts fired their DC after the season lol.

Steven Hill's was before the DT drop on 4th down. Near the goal line, northeast corner
This -happened right in front of me in 222 lower-upper-east. It would have been a tough catch, and we would have won. That was such a pivotal game.

Steven Hill would have been a hero for all time. It was an incredibly difficult catch, but catchable. Our only enemy, had he made the catch, would have been potentially leaving too much time on the clock when we scored.

Can we please stop talking about the worst Tech loss in the past several decades?

I am easily triggered.

That wasn’t the worst Tech loss in the past several decades. It’s one of the most painful losses, but worst? Nah.

MTSU or Kansas are orders of magnitude worse than a loss to UGA.
